"The Coach House is a lovely property with incredible views. The property was immaculate and lots of consideration given to travellers. The welcome pack was much appreciated and Chris could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. I loved the upside down style and it did not affect the views. The house is cosy and welcoming at the end of a long day. Chris has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Chris x"

"This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). The outside space was so private and had a fantastic view over the fields and to the hills beyond. Our favourite thing was sitting out at night by the fire pit and relaxing, looking up at the stars. "Stayed in a twin lodge room. Overall the room was clean comfortable and well maintained. The hotel had a lovely restaurant and bar area and is well located in the town centre. I was disappointed with a few things however and expected more for the price of the hotel: The breakfast costs £15 and the portions are very small with a limited buffet option. The breakfast staff were not particularly welcoming and got the order wrong on both days we stayed. I recommend not paying for breakfast in advance to keep your options open. The single beds in our twin were very small. Narrower than a standard single and the mattress were not very supportive so I didn’t get a great nights sleep during my stay. Overall disappointed with my stay and think there are better value options available. "

"This hotel is excellent, highly recommend 👌 rooms are spacious with everything needed, kettle with tea + coffee plus a coffee machine with pods. Very large super comfy king-size bed, complementary bottles of water on each bedside table, unexpected nice touch of a DAB radio playing low in the room, bathroom fully stocked with soap - shower gel - conditioner and loads of towels. Plus the room has hair dryer, iron and ironing board. This hotel is perfectly located only minutes walk from the castle. All the staff are helpful and friendly, breakfast is plentiful with a wide selection of both hot cooked food to a fully stocked continental section. A very nice hotel in every aspect, can't fault anything 👍"

"Very quick and friendly check in. Took less than a minute. Room was basic but clean. Kettle and a selection of teas and coffees. Breakfast on the following morning (Saturday) was between 8am and 10am, unfortunately didnt suit me as I had to start earlier in the day. Over all, I would stay there again "

"It's was an experience we wanted, to stay in a castle. The Ruthin Castle has a ton of history. It's a bit run down but I guess that could be the charm. The bathroom was beautiful, the rooms (bedroom and living room) were large. Overall, the place seemed quiet and dark. There is not a lot to do in Ruthin. The staff was nice and the room was clean."

"Room and bedroom were lovely, french doors with garden outdoor view , you would not expect that from the front door of your room and the front area , bit shabby and dated, saying that bathroom very dated was clean but could do with modernization. Pool was my biggest let down, small very busy and again generally little shabby , temp was good , but I didn't stay in for long , on our visit jacuzzi was full of young lads , all friends couldn't get near it . Quite a walk to breakfast from our room/ chalet, so took car ( disabled) breakfast very basic , can't say much more, not memorable. The area is beautiful, river and scenery, cute shops , obviously expensive, train area good place to visit , enough places to eat and get coffee , we come back regularly so great place. Carpark is broken up deffo needs attention. ."
