The best time to visit Rio Negro is during the dry season, which runs from May to September.During these months, the weather is more predictable with less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and wildlife viewing. The lower water levels concentrate the wildlife around remaining water sources, increasing your chances of spotting caimans, capybaras, and a variety of birds. This period is particularly good for travelers interested in photography and guided nature excursions. For those interested in fishing, the shoulder months of April and October can also be excellent. The water levels are beginning to change, which can be favorable for certain fish species.
