Location Location Location
Being able to stand in the Gite and lean out the window right into the Main Street of Riquewihr was something out of a fairy tale. The room is very nice, well equipped, beds were comfortable. There is a very steep interior staircase leading up to the second floor, for which I had to keep a close eye on my toddler but the keypad access was very convenient and like I said the location is unbeatable. Being able to be out in the village and dawn and dusk was really nice and you can avoid a lot of crowds, plus you get to feel like a local.

Cottage "the Jewel" is truly a jewel in Riquewihr! Fédéric responded to my questions before our visit within a few hours and his wife Florence met us when we arrived. The apartment is located on the main street with wonderful views of the street and the vines on the slopes above. The bedroom has two beds, the bathroom is big with a good shower, a washing machine and even an iron! Although we didn't use the kitchen, it was well stocked. Riquewihr is ideally located on the route des vins and it's loaded with charm. There are many restaurants and each of our meals was excellent. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Riquewihr! Note that there are about 20 steps up to the apartment, so it's not suited for people with mobility issues. Thank you, Fédéric and Florence for a wonderful three days!

Lovely, comfortable gite in charming village
My husband and I enjoyed 9 nights in this beautiful apartment. All was as stated; Frederic and Florence took care of all details, such as parking pass, linens and bike rentals, before our late hour arrival. They were available to answer any and all questions and could not have been friendlier. The apartment was perfect for two people and had all necessary equipment/tools in the kitchen. The beds were also quite comfortable for good rest. We would certainly return to this apartment without hesitation.

Perfect place to stay in Riquewihr
We loved our week in the gite ‘’L’Ecrin’, which is above a Creperie in the main street, so perfectly situated to enjoy the daily life of the village. There are lovely walks through the vineyards to nearby villages and it’s not far to drive to Colmar or Strasbourg. The gite had everything we could possibly want for an enjoyable week and is renovated to a high standard. Frederic was a pleasure to deal with, friendly, informative, and very efficient. He organised parking coupons for the week before we arrived which certainly made life easier. I totally recommend a stay in Le gite L’Ecrin.

Lovely apartment in a lovely village in a lovely area
Frederic was a superb host and was there to meet us when we arrived. The apartment is very spacious and the beds comfortable-bathroom excellent too - our only quibble was that it is really hot at night and we feel it needs a fan of some sort - we left the windows open which isn't ideal - Sorry to moan because overall we loved it. My husband and I just spent five nights at this property and were very pleased and comfortable and Frédéric was great to deal with and very helpful. Riquewihr is beautiful and this apartment looks down on the street where you can see all the activity. At night it is very quiet. Thank you Frédéric .
