The hotel room and carpet were a little messy, but the historic and cute European hotel buildings and cathedrals were very impressive and must-see. The fun of touring every nook and cranny of the hotel with my daughter was the ultimate gift.

This was my first time staying at the property. I absolutely LOVED every detail. I enjoyed reading through the history in various sites around the hotel (which I suggest the hotel staff is educated about, because when I asked about the history, they said there was no information available). I listened to the sound of running water just outside our room, with the ability to open the doors and see the luscious greenery around the pool which gave me the best reading spot with my morning coffee. I slept amazing. Beds and bedding were quite comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful trip. I'm ruined for the new modern hotels now, and I'm blaming the Mission Inn. :)

This beautiful hotel is a transport in time. In an unexpected place in Riverside, lies this sweet hotel. It has a beautifully calming presence. You feel like you’ve been transported to Europe. The staff our calm and courteous. The pool is tucked within a surrounding of trees and flowers. They typically have pool side service for food and drink. Great staff there as well ( shout out to Michael) and the food is good and reasonable. With that said, that’s how we feel about the hotel. The owners have kept the prices reasonable and often great specials they Expedia which allows two seniors on a fixed income to be able to enjoy this getaway from time to time. We love it! We trust you will too.

My two young kids and I were unfortunately booked into room 121. This room is right over a late-night gathering place with living music starting at 8:30/9pm. The door/window to the balcony is not a barer for sound in any way, so from 8:30pm to 3am the noise was intolerable. It's a shame as the property is lovely, the staff was nice, but not being able to sleep while staying at a hotel is a deal breaker for us. If you stay at this hotel, and you are not late night people, try to avoid the side of the hotel above Casey's Cupcakes.

Glorious period hotel. Allow a couple of hours to walk the floors, take (many) fantastic pictures, then head off for a wide range of dining options and time at the peaceful swimming pool. We had a regular room, which was large and nice, but if you can afford the upgrade then consider booking one of their amazing suites!

We were pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous room we got assigned to at check in. This hotel is stunning especially at night.You must go to the top floor overlooking the city, the gothic stairwell and the magnificent chapel are a must! At every twist and turn there is a beautiful fountain and gorgeous architecture not to be missed. The pool and the service was wonderful with the exception of dirt and grime on the tiles around the inside of the pool. Totally unacceptable for such a beautiful pool area. This is coming from someone who has worked in luxury beverly hills retail my entire career. When other clients are publicly expressing disgust you should clean it. Also, what happened to "the mission inn" embroidered beach towels? It is the little touches that adds to the exclusivity of this historical landmark. We found ourselves wanting to stay longer however they were booked up. Huge thank you to Kevin at the front desk and his hospitality along with the numerous maids that my husband interrogated over the hotel being haunted! They were so patient. Of course we will be coming back! We love it here!

Beautiful place. But the hotel room had a musty, stale odor, like it hadn't been properly aired out in a long time. Pool area was nice but I got grossed out by vomit on edge of the pool and hair ball. I still went in because it was hot. They need to clean up a bit better after Saturday pool party. Overall cool spot, but if you’re a germaphobe good luck.
