"Grand old chateau in beautiful rural area just outside of Villeneuve s/ Lot. Spacious, plenty bedrooms, great kitchen with everything you need in utensils, pots, pans, dishes and cutlery, all this surrounded by a lovely garden with outdoor seating, BBQ’s and swimming pool. Communication with the owner both before hand and on site was friendly and helpful. "We just had a 1 night stay on a Sunday (which did limit our dining options). Hotel is walkable (with luggage) from/to the train station, which added to its already very good value. We enjoyed its quiet location, short walk to old town (to see the “required” statues of Cyrano & the river). Clean & comfortable room. We did not partake of breakfast. Pleasant & helpful staff (helping me to print some required paperwork & advising on dining options)."
