breakfast was truly delightful, staff was friendly, and location was peaceful

Clean room, nothing luxury. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly,

We scheduled an extra day to spend some time in the area. We were able to use the free local bus system that stopped right across the street from the hotel.

Very friendly and responsive staff. I requested a fan a 10pm and they quickly came to my room with it.

We weren’t here long enough! It was very nice!

Lovely staff, amazing park and very comfortable room with well planned space and my favourite: a kettle.

Great convenient stay right near the airport. The bus to the airport is immediately across the street and starts operating at 4:20am if you have an early flight, otherwise they have an airport shuttle starting around 6 as well. Great comfortable rooms, quiet, and an easy public transit to the city

the staff was very kind and the hotel facilities are very good excellent location it was pleasant staying

Had a great time. This is my paternal grandfather's hometown. Great location, helpful staff. You need new pool cues! The tops are all broken. Had a great time. The old city was magical!

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

Best place to stay, definitely would do this again

A nice hotel 15 minutes from central Basel via bus #36. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was worth the money. Note to Basel tourists, this is not a hotel located in Basel but Germany so if you want to get a mobility ticket for free public transport you have to book a hotel located in Basel. The room is very spacious. Tea making facilities in room. The restaurant is in the front and the hotel building is behind. The reception is in the restaurant....

This is a good and clean hotel with excellent transport options and nearby shopping. The number 8 tram stops are a one minute walk away. One direction goes into Basel reaching several popular areas including the Messe convention area and the main train station. The other direction goes into the Weil am train station and shopping areas. Across the street of the hotel is also the Rhein center with several shops and restaurants that open late. A park and the pedestrian bridge to France are...
