However, the reception team had not communicated with the housekeeping team and all my things in my fridge were disposed. I also needed to retrieve all my personal items from the corridor. Some of my clothing was missing, which the hotel was not able to provide a new one. They just kept on apologising without resolving the issue, i.e. providing a new piece of clothing that was threw away by the housekeeping mistake. Bear in mind I realised all my clothes were threw away in a Sunday afternoon when all the shops nearby were closed. The hotel staff was thinking you should go out and buy a new piece of clothing at your own cost and time (which is precious when you are travelling), maybe some shop at Basel remained open, but does it make sense?
