Very bad experience and let down by Hotels.com

I booked 3 family rooms and when we arrived around 12.30pm for check-in which starts at 12.00, our rooms were not ready and had to wait 1 hour. As our rooms were on the third floor, we tried to use the lift which was dangerous as it shuts straightaway after someone goes in. Once on the third floor, our impression was not good as the corridor was dark with dirty carpets. When we entered our rooms, the floor was still wet which was a risk of slipping and falling. The rooms was dated with poor lighting. There was a small window which could be wide opened without any safety or lock which was a risk for our children. The floor and window had burnt cigarette stains which even after pointing out was not cleaned. Our bathroom sink was cracked with the handle broken. There were no towels in the rooms and had to keep asking at the reception on the ground floor. We even saw a cockroach crawling. I immediately contacted Hotel.com and spent nearly one hour on the phone speaking to different people to be told that if we were to be transferred to another hotel, we will have to pay more money which was not financially possible for us. So we had no other option than to stay there which ruined our first family holiday. Parking was also not easily available as there were other hotels on the same compound thus sharing car park. On the day we were checking-out, the cleaners were rude as they were waiting impatiently for us to leave the room for them to clean it. I decided not using hotel.com ever

Where do I Begin.

This was a one night stay coutesy of Orbitz. NEVER AGAIN will I trust Orbitz when they offer me a free stay. The location - There were at least public residencials in the vicinity with loose dogs. I was very fearful walking through this area. The room - stained walls, orange vinyl tiles, a TV slightly bigger than a computer monitor, no toiletries, broken faucet, 2 dingy towels and NO PHONES IN THE ROOM. If I were Orbitz, I would never offer anything even close to this as a complementary stay. It's just embarrassing! I got NO sleep, felt unsafe. Next morning I called an Uber (from my cell phone) and left without looking back. I'm disappointed that Obitz does not check these rooms out before offering them as "complimentary ". We could have stayed an extra night were we were. I DONT LIKE TO MAKE NEGATIVE REVIEW BUT THIS WAS NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. I do have photos but will not post them.

Off limits

The hotel is €65 away from the airport and €35 away from main Paris. Elevator is soo dark, hallways smell like cigarette so as my room. I asked to switched to another room but all the rooms smell the same. I had my window opened the whole nights just to get some fresh air. I woke up in the morning with clogged nose, maybe from dust and cobwebs from the window.

First room the power went out for no apparent reason, was changed to another room only to find that it was infested with bed bugs. Making for an awful night sleep. Finally moved to a third room for our last night there. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
