“We had a wonderful 1 night stay here. It was clean, easy to enter, good parking on the street, quiet, and communicating with the hosts was a breeze. Big shout out to them for allowing us to check in early so I could have time to get ready for the wedding we attended! Only thing missing was rugs for wiping our boots and shoes as it had snowed the night before. No big deal though. We just took them off at the front entry and wore socks everywhere. The apt is very warm and the heater works great!……

“This property has just what we were looking for in a late fall vacation: leaves were still changing; the air cool and clear, the view beautiful in the sunshine and fall yellow foliage, watching the occasional barge & lock traffic, the trains on both sides of the river (I love trains, and no not too noisy being below the bluff). "Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. This will remain one of the warmest memories of my travels.
