There were several nice restaurants close by and we visited all of the Vatican sites. Plus, we visited several other key sites in Rome. We were able to walk almost everywhere but we were also able to make good use of subway passes and the express train to the airport. Totally enjoyed ourselves. The hosts were great. Close enough to everything, with taxi stand and metro stop nearby, but a quieter neighborhood for restful nights and evenings. Everything is just as advertised. During our winter visit, the apartment was warm and cozy. The location is just two blocks from the Lepanto metro stop. Better, it is in the heart of the vibrant, upscale neighbhorhood of Mazzini, with great shops and restaurants just down the street. The owner is an excellent communicator and her care and attention is obvious in how well-equipped and comfortable the apartment is. We cannot wait to return for another fun stay. Grocery store across the street, cozy bar 1/2 block away, morning market in the alley below provided wonderful fruits and vegetables! The outside covered terrace area made a great place for wine and conversation. Donata was very thorough in giving us information and directions and quick to respond to questions.
