Welcome to the Barn on Hemlock Hill!

Located in Chattanooga Valley just south of Downtown Chattanooga in the beautiful countryside of North Georgia. The Barn on Hemlock Hill has incredible views of Lookout Mountain and offers a newly renovated place to rest, relax, and enjoy the 4 acres the property sits on. This home is approximately a 15 minute drive from the adorable town of Saint Elmo and several nearby attractions like Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, and Rock City.

The Barn on Hemlock Hill had a huge deck that with a seating area that overlooks the beautiful mountain views. This unique stay sleeps 4 people and has one full bathroom. There is 1 bedroom downstairs that has a queen bed and access to a quiet outdoor seating area. In the common space upstairs there is a living room with a large smart TV, a fully stocked kitchen, a full bathroom, and a queen bed.

The fully stocked kitchen includes all plate-ware, cups, mugs, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. There is a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. There is no dishwasher. Lastly, there is a Kurieg with a medium and a dark roast coffee option available.

The main home on the property is also an Airbnb. You will have your own private entrance with a door code and other guests staying in the main home will not be have access to the barn. There is a fire pit below the deck. You will need to bring your own camping chairs and wood for the fire pit.

Super Cute!
This renovated Barndo was absolutely the cutest place I’ve ever stayed!!! All weekend it was all I talked about. Super close to town and restaurants and not far from ruby falls either. We will most definitely stay here again! ❤️

Exploring new places Chattanooga
The property looks just like the pictures. I loved how it was decorated. It had 2 outdoor areas. We enjoyed a fire in the small fire pit that we moved out to the driveway one night. I only gave 4 stars for 2 reasons, the unit used for heating and cooling in the downstairs bedroom is very loud it cycles on and off. It kept waking me up. The second reason is the kitchen. There was a big beautiful gas stove but the pans to cook we less then great. I was traveling with my son and we stay at VRBOs to save money and not eat out all the time when we travel. I would bring my own pans had I known. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, Big Bad Breakfast North shore Chattanooga was amazing. We did all the tourist things, Ruby Falls, Rock City, Walnut St Bridge, and the Aquarium. We spent a day at High Pount climbing.

Overall I loved this property. Location was great, close enough to attractions and things to do but far enough that it was quiet and peaceful. It could’ve been a little cleaner but wasn’t “dirty”. Also a tip, the hot water in the shower works on the “C” and the “H” is freezing cold water.

Great Barndominium
Cute Barndominion, very clean. The kitchen is stocked to make simple meals. The country location is very relaxing and conveniently located to Look out Mountain and Rock City. Be prepared for a narrow and steep driveway. This can take you by surprise the first time and in the dark. Atleast it did us!! Would stay again.

Cosy and Great Location
My wife and I, along with our 3 year old, loved staying at the Barn. It felt cosy and rural while still being close to all the cool touristy stuff. Really close to Atlanta too. Pros; - Great location, close to absolutely everything touristy and close to the town if you need to get anything. - Even though you're close to everything, you feel secluded when you're at the property. It feels really rural. - Fair amount of yard area for kids to play and nice decking. - Mattresses are super firm which is something I love, slept great. - Plenty of streaming services on the TV so you're not bored on a night. - Free coffee to start your morning which is always nice! Great selection of kitchenware if you don't wanna go out to eat and need to cook. Cons; - Drive way is steep and quite narrow, has numerous large potholes. Some have bricks/rocks in but some do not. I would really recommend getting those filled. - Heating did not work but they did have a space heater that kept it warm enough upstairs. We didn't use the bedroom downstairs luckily. - Shower leaked and the floor was soaked when we arrived but it wasn't a huge issue. We just made sure the curtain was kept inward for the rest of the stay and we didn't have any more issues. - There were some ants in the kitchen the day we arrived but it's kinda expected when you're in such a rural setting. It wasn't a big deal Overall I would stay there again. It was a great price, great location and the owners were awesome at responding to texts if we had any questions. It was homely!

This property was perfect for our stay. I don’t recall reading any information on the second bedroom located downstairs. That was a nice surprise. A not so nice surprise is the fact that this property is shared with what I believe is two other rental spaces. Though they are not too close to this particular rental, it doesn’t really provide much outdoor privacy considering all of the outdoor spaces face the other properties. When we showed up we were greeted by three other vehicles which we assumed were the owners. That is until those vehicles were gone the next day, and two different vehicles appeared. I was not a fan of the coming and going. I somewhat expected a little more seclusion. The bathroom also had an overwhelming, unpleasant smell. Overall, a great experience as it served the intended purpose which was a place to lay our heads. Would recommend!
