Oasis of the Seas was the first ship of the Oasis Class that debuted back in 2009. Since then the ship has become the favorite of many Royal Caribbean fans due to the wide variety of onboard activities, excellent entertainment, ultimate dining experience, and much more. Nowadays, the Oasis is no longer the biggest ship of the cruise market but there’s no doubt that she was the gamechanger back in the day.
This mega-ship was the first one introducing the Seven Neighborhoods: Central Park, the Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa & Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and the Youth Zone. The layout of this floating resort keeps bottlenecks to a minimum and enhances the overall cruising experience.
With the purpose to keep offering the latest cruise attractions to the guests, Oasis recently went through a renovation and added the 10-story Ultimate Abyss Slide, a newly renovated pool area with the Perfect Storm and few more dining options.
Because you also need to rest between adventures, Oasis of the Seas offers an extensive cabin selection. The four main types of cabins—inside, oceanview, balcony, and suite—each includes different room configurations for every type of traveler. From inside cabins with virtual balconies to suites with spectacular views and luxurious amenities, Oasis of the Seas has a room for every taste and budget.
Imagine starting your day by the renovated pool area while the little ones of your group enjoy the recently amplified Splashaway Bay Aqua Park. At night, you can stop by at the Spotlight Karaoke or if you’re up for a mental challenge, Royal Caribbean has crafted the ultimate Room Escape experience “Apollo 18”. There's so much more happening onboard for you that you won’t have time to get bored.
You’ll also find available Royal Caribbean’s signature attractions like the Flowrider, the Rock-climbing wall, Zipline and much more.
Dining aboard the Oasis of the Seas is sure to be a spectacular event. With a multitude of restaurants to choose from and cuisine to please your palate, you’ll find it all here. Oasis of the Seas boasts more than two dozen dining selections to satisfy any appetite. Start your culinary adventure with the classic main dining room for a formal dinner or the Windjammer Café for a layback lunch.
Don’t forget to book one of the specialty restaurants if you want to upgrade your dining experience. Our favorite picks are the newly added Portside BBQ – famous for a meat-packed menu, Giovanni’s Table – perfect for an Italian evening, and Johnny Rockets – the best place to get a fat juicy burger.
With a large number of bars and lounges pretty much spread all over the Oasis of the Seas, you will find it super easy to enjoy a cocktail no matter where you are in the ship.
We recommend having a glass of wine at Trellis Bar while overlooking the busy life of the Central Park neighborhood. If you prefer to be outdoors, then head over to the recently added Coconut and Lime Bar and enjoy one of their tropical cocktails.
Another venue worth to visit is the new Bionic Bar, even if you don’t want a drink, it’s fun to watch the two Robotic bartenders preparing and serving cocktails.
The entertainment options aboard the Oasis of the Seas are endless, from electrifying Broadway productions to escape room games and ice-skating shows, the variety of entertaining activities will keep everyone in your group happy. The three-level Theatre is the venue of classic Broadway productions like Cats and other stunning performances; Studio B is not only the place to watch incredible ice -skating shows but also the venue for cool games such as Laser Tag – Battle for Planet Z. Additional options include bingo, trivia contest, dance lessons, wine tastings, karaoke and much more.
The fitness center is equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, weights, and other equipment. You’ll have no excuses to miss your daily workouts. You can also take advantage of the jogging track in deck 5 and enjoy the run overlooking the open sea.
For those who want to pamper themselves during their holidays, make sure you visit Vitality Spa and take advantage of its extensive list of services such as massages, acupuncture, teeth whitening, facials, etc. Also, check the Cruise Compass for special promotions whenever the ship is at port.
