"This is a great property which is perfect for two families sharing, plus has a granny annexe too. The kitchen is well equipped and also.has a BBQ. The pool was warm and brilliant for the kids. It's to the North West of Sarlat, about 10 mins from Salignac which has a small supermarket, boulangerie, petrol station etc. Loads of tourist things to do nearby including canoeing on the Dordogne. It feels very rural yet almost everything is within a 30 mins drive. The owner was very accommodating...

"We spent a great week in this property with 5 people and a dog We had a really warm welcome from the owners with some cold drinks on arrival, the services that this property provides along with all of the sports activities and sports equipment was exceptional and such good value for the money. "The owner was nice but the accommodation was not clean enough and offered no privacy - with the large windows looking on to the owners house and compound where the their American Pit Bull Terrier has free range. Three nights booked but we arrived late and left early the next day."

The exterior and surrounding grounds of the house were enchanting. Each time we went away for a day to do some sight-seeing - on our return, seeing the house always made us smile. "This was a good option for a base when visiting the region. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, if a little strangely designed. A lack of sensible plug sockets (we had to boil the kettle on the floor!) and the water from the shower went everywhere because there is no shower tray - yet is not a wet room! We found parking stressful, we arrived late at night and found no spaces free thanks to inconsiderate parking from guests, the hotel would do well to mark acual spaces. We did squeeze our tiny car alongside the bins for overnight, and then after heading out early could not get a space at any other time during our stay. The night porter did help us at one point by explaining that the street parking would be ok overnight as long as we moved again by 8am. Given that we were on a three week road trip we had a very full car and this wasn't ideal. We would have liked to try the restaurant but couldn't as they seemed to stop serving earlier than advertised. We were told it was 'fully booked' at around 8pm despite lots of empty tables, we think they just didn't like that we hadn't pre booked. All in all this hotel was good enough and comfortable for a short stay and maybe better if you are less busy and have less luggage, but for us it just has a few fracture points that in all probability would not encourage us to stay again. The town is charming and we found good options for both breakfast and later dinners, just don't go out too late as the options dwindle."

"We thought we'd booked a hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find it a B&B. It's close to the highway but not in town and we were tired so we took advantage of the offer for an evening meal. The meal was what I have been expecting since I got to France. It was the best meal I've had in France. I can't wait for breakfast. The place is run by a nice, hard working, young couple who do a great job of making you feel welcome and comfortable. "
