Friendly staff. We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The property was beautiful, the room was very clean and comfortable and the host was really friendly. Inn is very quaint, in a very beautiful old house with a very historical architecture, decorated with good taste, convenient location close to the town centre. Although our experience was good overall, we disliked the breakfast (lack of choice) and our room was a bit outdated (no ventilation in the bathroom and bed frame was very creaky). Also, soundproofing is poor - we could hear other guests in their rooms and people walking in the hallway. Overall nice experience, perhaps a little expensive for the price. We could not have been happier with our accommodations and the restaurant was beautiful and the food just delicious. The property is a beautiful vintage Victorian Home. If you are visiting Saint John NB this is the perfect quiet place to stay and it is only a 15 minute drive to the downtown. We would most definitely recommend the Shadow Lawn Inn.
