“Staff were excellent. Very helpful and professional. Pool was pristine, perfectly kept. As usual, kitchenette could use better paring knives. Enjoyed wildlife: howler monkeys, racoons, coati, geckos, iguanas, birds, cat, two big spiders in web by check in! Off the beaten track so very private and quiet; personal cabins in midst of 'jungle'. Would go back and stay longer!”

“The room was in the basement with no hot water, small, and dark. The pool was the size of a large bathtub, and all small clean little prison compound. It would of suffice for a night or two, for about a 1/4 of the price i paid. But at $160 a night, it sucked. Worst hotel.com place ive ever stayed in Costa Rica.”

“We stayed at this house with a private pool and had a mixed experience overall. On the positive side, the house was spacious, nicely laid out, and the pool was great. We also really appreciated the flexibility, as we were able to arrive one day earlier on very short notice. The neighbors/caretakers next door were incredibly kind and helpful – always quick to assist and even bringing us fresh mangoes, which was such a lovely gesture. However, the cleanliness could have been better, and the……

“Such a great location and wonderful spot! My husband and I loved the cleanliness, spacious room (and AC!) and friendly and helpful front staff. Breakfast was good although options seemed a bit limited and the wait staff was not friendly. Also just a note that it can get really loud if you stay over a Friday or weekend as there are parties in town and it is situated on the central road.”

“Excellent location. Other reviews are accurate. However, There are two locations for this hotel. one is near the main road - that is where the pool is and it is a small pool so we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach area which was as advertised. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were great. It is a small town so easy access to everything.”
