We were skeptical about this place based on the reviews here and on maps, but we’re glad we stayed at Condovac. We had a great stay, with just few inconveniences.
The bad: we paid for a romantic room, which had a jacuzzi. The room itself was great, but the jacuzzi has NO hot water, and that’s a known issue to the staff, so the fact that they still advertise this room as having a working jacuzzi is misleading at best. We complained about this and they moved us to a different type of accommodation where things were a little dated but worked fine.
The hotel ATM was broken, so we couldn’t have cash for tips or whatnot.
Make sure to arrange your transportation back to the airport early on, preferably with a company not affiliated to the hotel. The taxi they had arranged canceled on us last minute, claiming the card machine had “just broken” and asking us to stop at the atm on the way. Pretty sketchy.
Meals: Breakfasts were excellent. Lunch and dinner are ok. Plenty of fresh fruit available at those times, which was awesome. The snacks could be better, though.
Now the good: this hotel has the most incredible views you could ask for. There’s an infinity pool from where you can watch the sea all day and then later the sunset. The restaurant provides the same views. You can even see some monkeys from afar! It was the favorite part of our stay. Most staff are super friendly (shoutout to Gin from the colibri restaurant and the bar, to name one). The pools are clean and lots of fun.
