The Place:
Our historic and charming home was built in the early 1900s. This 2 bed/2 bath is conveniently and centrally located near downtown on the border of the King Williams District, Southtown and Arsenal District.
This neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Wave at the passengers of the City Bus Tours as they pass right in front (y)our yard. At over 100 years old, this home still maintains its original charm with modern updates.
This is less than a mile from many of San Antonio’s main attractions so a vehicle is unnecessary. It’s 1.5 blocks from the Riverwalk @ Arsenal Bridge with access to many upscale, trendy and/or local restaurants.
The house was reconfigured in 1960 and converted into separate condos. This listing is for the downstairs unit. You MUST experience this historical home-converted-condo in an urban setting.

The Space:
Cozy and charming, (y)our 2 bd/2 full ba rental unit is conveniently and centrally located. This listing is for the downstairs unit. It is not wheelchair accessible and has stairs to the patio which leads to the living spaces.
This unique rental features wood floors and vintage hardware. Original long open-glass upper kitchen cabinets, a refrigerator, stove top/oven, microwave and a Keurig for coffee.
Fast WiFi included. 70" smart tv in the living room, 32” smart TV in the king bedroom, and 50” TV with Roku in the queen bedroom.

Adorable Home with Minor Cleanliness Issues
This charming home was the perfect size for our family getaway. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, cozy bedrooms, and a spacious living area. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the hosts communication was very good. My only complaint is that the house could have been cleaner. We noticed some dust and cobwebs in the corners, and unfortunately, we saw a few roaches during our stay. While this wasn't a major issue, it did detract slightly from our overall experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property and would recommend it to others who are looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay. However, if you are particularly sensitive to cleanliness, you may want to consider other options.

Great location, very old apt
We found the apartment to be “ok”. It was great location but the apartment was not very clean. Toothpaste on the wall in the master bathroom, very dirty toilet the second bathroom, found extremely overstuffed load of laundry in the dryer that was damp and musty. Also,There was no coffee creamer. The floor is very uneven and the fan in the living room only worked on high.

In an older neighborhood, close to river walk & a nice walk into town to the Alamo. We enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the breeze. It is a charming older house & the pictures accurately show what it is—don’t expect glitzy modern. Internet was at times spotty, but that didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of our stay.

This was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do in San Antonio. It was a little bit of a walk to get to the main part of the River Walk, but not so far that you couldn't do it. The property was older, but not in too bad of shape and VERY clean. The host was great!

There are several lights/light bulbs which didn’t work and the house lighting was too dim. The internet/wi-fi did not work so we were not able to watch TV. The doorknob on the hall bath kept falling off and the shower in there sprays everywhere and can’t be used. There were not enough towels for the number of guests and nights. (Only 4 were provided.) It’s nice that the location is not on a busy street. That’s a nice asset. The decor was pleasant and the blues are nice and relaxing.

Overall, a good stay!
The property was within walking distance of the Alamo and Riverwalk. We walked it the first day but didn't want to do it again the next day. Just too much for our feet! The property is cool because it is very old. The bathrooms weren’t great, but it had everything we needed. The property was clean and the communication was good with the manager. The area seemed a little sketchy but i wasn’t concerned since my husband was with me and other family. Overall it was a good stay.

We loved the fact that we could walk to the river walk & many other locations. House is older and the bathroom door handle kept falling off. Could have been cleaned a little better. There was evidence of past guests. Be sure to bring extra Keurig pods for coffee. There are only a couple provided. Beds were comfortable. One of the tub/showers is an old clawfoot style. There is no where to put soap/shampoo. A shelf in the back would be a good addition.

Great location in King Williams. Having rented dozens and dozens of VRBOs over the years, this home did not show pride of ownership in cleanliness or maintenance. Is decorated very nicely. Owner had zero flexibility on check-in even though the property had been cleaned the day before.

Got a message from the host the evening before that our rental was having AC issues. They offered up the VRBO next door so I can't really review this actual property. Location was close to the Riverwalk, don't know that it's actually walking distance to the restaurants and activities. Quick Uber ride was super easy!
