Like this stay, I have stayed there a few times overnight. The location is very convenient as we were towing a car trailer and didn't have to navigate the narrow streets down towards the Malecon. There is a gated dirt parking lot behind the hotel. As far as the room, it was clean and ready. The bathroom was clean and stocked with soap and a shampoo, beds were clean and comfortable, a/c mini split worked fine. We were right by the pool so it was great when we got there. Mid July, and we had driven up from San Jose through 104 degree temps and were ready for a dip. The pool was pretty warm (we figured it was over 90) but floating around felt great. Lots of younger kids in it until about 9 or 10 which we didn't mind. We were too tired. A good nights sleep and then the included breakfast, which was a basic buffet, juice and coffee. We were rested, fed, and ready to hit the road north.

We stayed in a nice large ocean front room with very effective AC (thank heavens) up on the 4th floor, good views, comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast. There is a nice water front side walk that goes either to the Marina (and beyond) or down to a stretch of mostly sand beach. The only "complaint" would be a few of the local fishermen heading to work seemed to love driving by at 4:30-5:30 AM with windows open and music turned up very loud. Weekends had the same thing going on with the locals cruising up and down the short water front road to be seen and heard by their friends- a local tradition that the hotel is not at all responsible for, just a head's up for first time visitors like ourselves.

The check-in staff was horrible, rude and caring and gave no interest and trying to please. The customer. It’s like this. Is it enjoy it or not if you don’t like it move on. Horrible. Horrible horrible. Hopefully you don’t have to deal with Mario. He was horrible.
