Captain Java's Cottage in beautiful Morro Bay!

An enchanting private cottage, ideal for two. Steps from the sand, whale spouts, sand dollars and sea otters to greet you. Private entrance, King size bed, fireplace and private bath. Outdoor seating area to enjoy ocean sunset views. Small refrigerator, microwave and place settings to make your stay easy and comfortable. Outdoor storage for beach toys, if you would like to bring them. Private washer and dryer.
You are surrounded by fabulous scenery and places to visit, whether walking, biking, horseback riding, surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding or hiking. Morro Bay's Embarcadero is a relaxed walk from the cottage. For further jaunts, you can get in your car with easy access to major Central Coast attractions, such as the famous Hearst Castle, Paso Robles wine country, Cayucos pier, Cambria's moonstone boardwalk and Montana de Oro.
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is only 15 minutes by car, so parents can visit children at school and escape back to the coast easily.
We do not allow smoking, children or pets.

Adorable Cottage

I have stayed at this amazing cottage many times! The cottage is cozy and very comfortable! The fireplace is definitely a plus!There is always coffee, hot chocolate, water and snacks. Every detail has been attended to!I am looking forward to my next stay!

Morro Bay treasure

Captain Java’s Cottage was exactly as described. Tucked in a beautiful neighborhood, a short walk to the beach and close to Morro Bay, Cayucos and Cambria. Every detail was thought through by the owners. Lovely decor, comfortable bed, very clean, large patio area for enjoying coffee or watching the sunset.

Clean and stocked with anything we could want or need during our stay. We were even offered early check in although our travel time prevented us from taking advantage. Check in process was a breeze and I would surely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area!

Captain Java’s Cottage

This location had a cottage fell. It was clean, private and just steps away from the ocean. The place had all the items in it that you may have forgot and more. Great location as it was close to hiking, fishing, wine tasting, walking on the beaches and more. I would definitely go back.

Great base

We stayed here on our first visit to California. Relaxing cozy spot to use to go wine tasting in Paso Robles, driving up Hwy 1 for the gorgeous views and coming back to Morro Bay to walk the beach which is just a house away from Captain Java’s Cottage. So clean and inviting. Salina and Dave’s extras added to such a nice stay.

Wonderful Valentines Getaway

My wife and I had a great extended weekend at Captain Javas Cottage. The location is very close to the beach on a route frequented by many folks walking or riding bicycles. Very short drive to downtown Morro Bay or Cayucos. Cottage is stocked with all the necessities and the hosts are friendly and responsive. Definitely on the ‘would stay there again’ list!

We always have such a wonderful time at Captain Java. The cottage is lovely and so well appointed. The hosts are the BEST there is and think of everything to make your stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Love that you can hear the ocean waves at night. Yes, you are that close. We’ll be back!

Brief stay

Our stay was short but very nice. Great shower pressure and temperature which after a LONG car ride is appreciated. Room is perfect for a quick stay for visiting the area. Amenities were very nice.

Second time I was able to stay here. Exactly as advertised and host has thought of everything to make the stay delightful. Even enjoyed the outdoor this time and always love the walks on the beach.

Bliss by the sea

Great time at Java

Captain Java is a very clean, comfortable and very quiet place to stay. Great location with easy walk to beach and centrally located for trips to Cambia or Paso. Hosts were very accommodating and very nice folks. We will stay again next year. Thanks.
