"Located just a couple of blocks outside downtown San Martin, the setting was very quiet with only the sounds of nature (lots of birds) punctuating the approach of the Argentine autumn. Cabins were spacious with full kitchens and comfortable beds. Gustavo -- self-exiled from Buenos Aires -- who runs the property, an informal tourism minister, was incredibly friendly and helpful and added to the overall warmth of the property, though his Rhodesian Ridgeback, India, would not give up the reception...

"Alta Traful wastes the opportunity it has to provide guests with an experience as unique as the lake it is situated upon. The room was basic and bathroom (tiny sized) had taps either leaking or falling of.
