Titus Point- Ocean Front Classic- Vintage Nautical Cambria at it's best!

Stunning ocean views from the best location in town! RUSTIC with a nautical touch is the theme of this spectacular OCEAN FRONT home. Being one of the original ocean front homes, you'll enjoy the true feel of old Cambria. That being said, this home has not been updated, if you prefer a new, white, beach themed rental this is not the home for you. This is a very popular vacation rental, but it's not for all. Please look carefully at the pictures, they represent the home well. This spacious single level home has two bedroom, three baths and sits on the farthest extending bluff in Cambria, thus lending unobstructed views all the way up and down the coast line. Watch the whales, dolphins and other marine life while sipping a glass of wine out on the spacious deck. The living and dining areas also have a full ocean view so you can cozy by the fireplace and watch the ever changing sea on the cooler winter days. In the master bedroom, open your slider facing out to sea, and lounge with a cup of coffee and soak up the sun and fresh morning air. The house also has a lovely 6' fence around the large yard, giving you a very private experience.
This house is a block away from Shamel Park and a short walk to downtown where you'll find delightful boutiques and fabulous dining.

When you're ready to venture out and explore the beautiful Central Coast you will have many options close by. Hearst Castle and Hearst Winery, perched above the San Simeon Cove, are a short drive up the coast, and the famed Paso Robles wine country is a quick drive east. Charming San Luis Obispo is a 45-minute drive south and the Big Sur Coast is at your doorstep heading north. Cambria is the perfect starting off point for countless adventures.

** PLEASE NOTE- Due to strict water restrictions, the jacuzzi tub is not available.**

Titus Point gem
The location is without a doubt the best on the central coast in our opinion. The house was perfectly set up for us. The ocean view was beyond perfect. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to enjoy this amazing location.

Stunning Views
Yes, the views are stunning, along with the sound of the surf. We stayed five nights, and the views never got old! We saw an otter family playing and eating in the coves, many pelicans diving for their meals, and other fishing birds. Located very close to Fiscalini Ranch which I highly recommend. What I can’t recommend is staying there after a rain: it was February and we had to leave all the windows that we could open for fresh air due to the heavy mold/mildew smell. It took about 3 days to dissipate. Having said that, we feel a stay in the spring summer or early non-rainy fall would be PERFECT. Our blood pressure and heart rates went down! The new deck is great, the grill is new, and the kitchen is more than adequate. Overall, I’d give this place a 4.7

Million Dollar View....however....
Location is impeccable. The house is old. We had a major fly issue in the house. I did mention to the office and was told probably due to weather since it had been raining. I seriously don’t think that was the problem.

The view is spectacular!
The home is very comfortable. Listening to the ocean waves lulled us to sleep each night. Every morning we enjoyed watching the pelicans, cormorants, otters or seals flying/swimming by. The kitchen is well equipped though we preferred trying the local restaurants since we were on vacation. Hope to come back!

View of a lifetime, you won't want to leave!
This property has an amazing location. It is all about the stunning views. We loved it and will definitely be planning another trip. It was our 30th Anniversary and we were staying with friends. We ended up not eating out and just cooking at the location in the large kitchen to enjoy as much time there as possible. They also have a grill, just bring your own charcoal. In the morning we saw seals & whales, in the evening the sea otters. I do recommend bringing binoculars. The beds were extremely comfortable. The decor is antique but fine, has character. They could probably update the patio furniture for sure, the chairs had broken straps and seemed worn out. Other than that, we were all very happy with our stay! So glad we went!

Location, location, location!
This is the second year my son and I have stayed at Titus Point and we love it! As noted by other reviewers the house is a throwback to the 70s and could use some updating but the location can’t be beat! It is private with small park on one side and literally stands at ocean’s edge. Also convenient to downtown Cambria and Fiscalini Preserve. One of my all time favorite restaurants is just round the corner on Moonstone drive- the Sea Chest. I even have a coveted ‘ Porch award first in line’ coaster I got last year. The location is also central to wine country. We always make a visit to Harmony Cellars (and close-by glass blowing shop) and have done the ‘Sideways’ stops in Buellton Solvang area. It is a stunning area which really speaks for itself!

Stayed here before and would again
Let’s be honest, this is an OLD house, needs a lot of updating but we knew all that because the view can’t be beat, and great area to walk. The bed was very comfy and it had everything we needed and the staff at Breen were great to work with. The weather was stormy and rainy almost the entire time but we still had fun.

Beautiful location and comfortable home
Renting Titus Point was such a wonderful experience. The home was clean and comfortable and had a nice size kitchen stocked with all your basic necessities. The beds were comfortable and had nice pillows and bedding. The area was quiet and very close to town. The best feature by far is the spectacular view. We enjoyed watching the sunset with a glass of wine and watching the birds and other sea life while having morning coffee. A highlight was watching a seal swim around hunting for food. Definitely going back again and again.

Best view.
We have stayed at this house every year for numerous years. We love the view, and the house is very comfortable. The blue ray player did not work which was a bit disappointing. The electric heater struggled to keep the house warm. Nevertheless we enjoy the property greatly and will continue to return here.

The location can't be beat!
We were paying for the spectacular views! We enjoyed panoramic views of the coastline and beautiful sunsets. The bed was comfortable and the showers were adequate. The house is tired, but it is cozy and comfortable. However, It would have been good to know that we were expected to provide our own napkins, coffee, filters and shampoo. We didn't mind, but we were caught by surprise. The house cleaning was disappointing. Mascara had been left on the back of one of the shams, and the dining table had a spot of jam left on top. The dishes and the silverware did not seem thoroughly clean. We needed to wash them before we used them. But even with these inconveniences, we still would have chosen to stay. It was the perfect location for an anniversary!

Such a View
What a wonderful property! Even though the property is very dated it is clean and comfortable. And user friendly. Even the Wifi worked great , so we could stay connected on our mini vacation. My only complaint would be, the windows in the living room were so dirty that we had a hard time seeing the beautiful view that this property has. We finally found the squeegee in the garage and cleaned them ourselves. After that we were able to enjoy the spectacular view for the remainder of our trip.

This oceanside property was perfect for our family. My 80 something mother loved watching otters at play right off the front deck. One story floorplan with huge windows. Carmen and Haleigh were very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend this location.

Beach House Centrally Located to California Landmarks
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the beach house with its large windows overlooking the rocky coastline. We spotted seabirds often, and three otters regularly swam and ate in the waters just off the property every morning and evening. The deck was very private, shielded from the house next door, and the other side featured a little bluff overlook with benches. Sometimes people would venture down into the rocks/tide pool area there, but it was away from the house so kept the deck private and quiet. We enjoyed beach combing and strolling along the shore at Shamer Park just a walk down the street, as well as walking the bluffs at Fiscallini Preserve just a few minutes away in the other direction. We spotted deer in the neighborhood. The house was comfortable and very clean but could have used some updated furnishings (scratched dining table/chairs, ancient lamps, etc.) and replacements for scratched kitchen pans/utensils, 3 way light bulbs and a very low-placed showerhead with weak spray in the Master Bath, as well as some home repairs (warped front doors, warped front deck/gate, Master Bath window that whistled in the winds, etc.). The house lacked the little niceties of other rentals, such as complimentary bath products, condiments, laundry basket, etc., and instructions for the telescopes and TVs would have been much appreciated. Most of all, the house could use an updated heating system for those of us who didn't want to use the fireplace every night. The ancient system worked fine in the bedrooms, but it was too weak to heat the living room and kitchen. It took awhile for hot water at the sinks (which was counterintuitive to the "conserve water" signs throughout the house), but the hot water was plentiful. The laundry center was very appreciated, as we didn't have to pack as much on our trip. The property was just a few minutes from Highway 1, and located only 30 minutes or so away from Morro Bay, San Simeon, elephant seals, and hiking opportunities. Overall, we had a fun and relaxing time and recommend the Titus Point house in Cambria to all.
