My stay was short approx. 1-1/2 hour at Comfort Inn & Suites Airport
the Comfort Inn & Suites Airport, located at 4301 East Roosevelt Road, was disappointing. I'm requesting a full refund.
Upon entering the property, I immediately noticed a strong odor resembling petroleum products in the lobby. The hallways also had a persistent musty smell, which unfortunately carried over into my guest room. I found the room itself to be clean, the unpleasant odor made it difficult for me to feel comfortable during my stay.
I suffer from severe allergies and am particularly sensitive to strong odors and environmental irritants. Unfortunately, the conditions at this property made it extremely difficult for me to remain comfortable.
I also observed that the hotel accommodates a significant number of construction workers and truck drivers. I have no issue with any particular group of guests, I believe the overall cleanliness, ventilation, and indoor air quality of a hotel should meet acceptable standards for everyone.
My primary concern is the indoor environment and the lack of attention to the odors throughout the property. Cleanliness involves more than just having a clean room; it includes maintaining fresh, comfortable, and healthy surroundings.
Based on my experience, I would encourage management to investigate the source of these odors and address the ventilation and air-quality concerns.
