Die alten Stadtkerne sind in ihrer Mittelalteranmutung schön, aber sehr verlassen. Die Strände, die wir gesehen haben, sehr vom Hochtourismus geprägt. Muss man mögen. Landschaftlich von schön bis, naja, nicht so schön. Fazit - wer sich im Anwesen entspannen möchte, findet hier das Richtige. Unternehmungen sollten vorher gut geplant sein.”

We cooked as a group almost every night and the long table in the kitchen was perfect for all of us to gather around. “Es war einfach traumhaft, die Wohnung, die Aussicht, die Ruhe, der Pool, die Gastgeber….Die Casa della Zia liegt sehr abgelegen, aber es gibt einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen in der Nähe mit allem, was man braucht. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen, vor allen Dingen die Abende auf der Terrasse. Wenn wir nochmal in die Abruzzen fahren, dann auf jeden Fall zu Peter und Julie.”

“Wir waren eine größere Gruppe von Wanderbegeisterten und wollten den Parco Nazionale della Majella erkunden. Dafür war dieses sehr geräumige Ferienhaus ideal. Eine große und gut ausgestattete Wohnküche, zwei Wohnzimmer, eine schöne Terrasse sowie die vier Badezimmer haben dafür gesorgt, dass wir selbst zu neunt noch bequem im Haus unterkommen konnten. Der Blick von der Terrasse: spektakulär! Das Haus ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für viele atemberaubende Wanderungen im Nationalpark. Auch das……

“Our little apartment nestled high on the mountain hillside was just perfect. Such a stunning view of the countryside. Our family and friends live in Pennadomo a mountain town just 25 minutes away so this was a good location with plenty of conveniences not far away. The big plus was our hosts, Lynda and Rob. So very accommodating. We were your typical uninformed tourist (didn't want to say dumb). They bent over backwards for us. Helped us so much. Villasfor2 is out-of-the-way but very accessible……

“Off the main tourist beat in a quiet little village. Easy access to many wonderful places but only if you have a car. The village itself is very quiet with just a few facilities - bar, small food store, pharmacy - but only a 15min drive to the large town of Sulmona which has all you need and a great market on Wednesday and Saturdays. “We loved staying at the Serramonacesca house…such a peaceful place in the most spectacular setting. We could happily spend our time on the back terrace overlooking the glorious countryside; and we made our way up the circular staircase every night for appetizers and then dinner, enveloped by the sunset and then watching the lights of Manopello go on, one by one. Our trip was special as it was our first family trip visiting Abruzzo in 15 years to visit my father’s elderly relative. “The location of the property to restaurants was great. However, the property is tucked away on a side street. If arriving after 7 pm, guests should be told not to drive past the Pizzeria on the right since house numbers are difficult to see in the dark.”
