First off, the spa has limited hours and was closed the first day I was there; in addition, you have to pay about as much to use the spa as you do to to stay in the hotel. The spa looked really nice, but I never got to experience it. The swimming pool is quite bland with water a bit too cool for my liking and I was afraid to put my head under water for the fact the water wasn't very clear. The food in the restaurant was very good but had the atmosphere was that of a hospital cafeteria--zero character. Even worse, you could not order any alcohol at all on the premises. The big grass area in front of the spa was very nice. The rooms were simple, clean, and without a mini-fridge.The bathroom was big and nice, except for the old shower door that didn't close so all the shower water would go out onto the bathroom floor making it very slippery. I had to dry it with my towels afterwards. What a mess that was. Would I stay there again? I doubt it

The service was excellent, the rooms were very clean.

Clean rooms, helpful staff, front desk spoke English, and restaurant staff were more than happy to find someone who did if we were having issues communicating. Food was good, pool was clean, very quiet hotel, which is exactly what we were looking for. The pool became more lively in the evenings with kids, but they were respectful and it was always quiet by night time.

The ambiance is great. The food at the restaurant is fabulous. Everything we ate was great. They regularly showcase Oaxacan artists. Every two months, apparently. The place is very clean. They also have a free shuttle that takes you downtown, as the hotel is located about 15-20 minutes from the center. The staff is very responsive to your needs. They are dialed in. The only downside was the quality of the WIFI. This may have more to do with the surrounding area and not the hotel. There were work crews in the neighborhood attending to the matter.
