Vila Luz is a great family hotel. We stayed in the upper section which has an extremely heated pool. A bit warm when the temperature is over 30celsius, great when the temperature dropped to 20celcius. The bigger, lower pool is less heated and great when it's very hot. Everything was clean, and the breakfast buffet was good, and well stocked, if a little repetitive. The staff are very friendly and helfpul. The only issue we had was arriving after midnight, reception was closed. The staff had helpfully sent a message through Expedia explaining how to get my key for my room. But, due to the holiday being a package deal with Ryan Air, at no point was I informed it was an Expedia holiday in disguise and never got the message. Not the hotel's fault.

Really friendly staff at check in and throughout our stay. Very helpful. Nice rooms, great view. Indoor and outdoor pool options were great for the kids. Breakfast was great. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back

A lovely hotel reception, the staff were very polite & helpful. Our room was very spacious & clean. Some parts of the hotel could do with some tlc. The pool beside the outside bar was surprisingly dirty. No cocktails in the AI unless paid to upgrade to the premium AI.

Excellent location, surroundings, amazing resort concept. Beautiful design blended with natural elements with lots of respect for the environment. Pine woods, sand dunes, natural vegetation all beautifully preserved and integrated. The beach itself is excellent. Proper deep sand, very clean water, very flat, excellent for children. The food in both restaurants including the beach club was very high quality.
