"This place was beautiful. The staff are wonderful. But this was not ideal with our baby.
However the no aircon and 37 degrees does not go well together along with 5000 mozzies and no sort of repellent in room. The mozzie net also broke and fell onto me and my baby, the other one also didn't cover my husband ankles and well, he looks like he has chicken pox on his ankles.
Also when we booked, it said TWO double beds and TWO rooms, and it was not. One single bed right next to the double bed....

The cottages were magical. We loved relaxing on the patio and watching the birds.
Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The landscaping is beautiful and the pool was perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast baskets.

We stayed two nights in early March. The inn was a bit hard to find, due to goofy directions from Google maps. It's about 10 km out of town, at the foot of a mountain surrounded by fruit trees, and birds everywhere. Due in part to its remoteness, the manor is incredibly relaxing, and the owner was terrific and very helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, in an friendly old South African farmhouse sort of way, with a great shower with instant hot water. Breakfast was great (esp the...

The best time to visit Saron is during the spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) months.
These periods offer pleasant weather with moderate temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the surrounding natural beauty and enjoying outdoor activities. Spring brings blooming wildflowers, while autumn provides comfortable conditions for hiking and vineyard visits.
For travelers interested in outdoor adventures and scenic drives through the Western Cape's landscapes, these shoulder seasons are particularly appealing.
