This cozy 2-bedroom house/camp is tucked along an ATV-legal road that connects directly to the Snow Shoe Rails to Trails system. You’ll be just 1.5 miles from the Black Bear Trailhead and 6.9 miles from Black Moshannon State Park and Beach, which features an EV charging station near Pavilion 3. Surrounded by outdoor recreation, this is a haven for nature lovers. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a peaceful escape, this location offers: Fishing Boating Hunting Hiking Kayaking Bird Watching ATV & Trail Riding You're also: 25 miles from State College, Penn State University, and the Bryce Jordan Center 11 miles from one of Pennsylvania’s last 20 drive-in movie theaters Important Notes: Security: Three outdoor motion cameras are on-site — one on a tree beside the house (monitoring entry doors), another midway down the driveway that faces toward road, and one in the lower field facing away from the house towards the woods(wildlife camera). These are for guest safety and security only. Garage Use: No vehicle parking in the garage — it’s meant as a recreational space, perfect for games or rainy-day relaxation. Guest Access: You’ll have full access to the entire home except for one locked cabinet in the garage (used for personal and cleaning supplies). Everything else is yours to enjoy. We will place it back on once the firepit is cleaned. Mulched area: Offers many different shrubs and flowers. You will find flower buckets around as well. Please stick to walking on the pavers and not the mulch as this will be tracked into the house. There are also some vegetables growing around porch area. Grape Vine: If grapes are ready, feel free to pick. Walking Paths: There is one that loops the upper field and one that circles down by the river and back up. I thought it looked peaceful and it was! The hosts were friendly, responsive, and gracious. Property was clean, decorated cute, and furniture;beds were comfortable. A smart tv and a great selection of dvds are provided. We made pancakes and listened to the birds. The toddler watched Shrek for the first time and played with blocks we found in the garage. The lighting bugs were unlike anything we'd seen, just beautiful. The property is well kept and great for a walk around. We visited Moshannon state forest because it was only about 7 miles away. The place was very well kept and the host communicated everything we needed to know in a timely manner. The rental was clean and had everything we needed; the property itself was private and yet accessible even with winter roads. A good location for peace and quiet. Not close to good dining options. It takes a full 45 minutes to get to State College, but we knew that going in. This property was perfect for the weekend. We were able to ride our UTV from the house to the trails and back. The place was very clean and cozy. When you arrive, you open the door on the right side of the garage doors and pull your car inside. Apparently, this place is designed for ATV riding & maintenance. The house itself was immaculately clean. When you are inside, all you may hear are the crickets outside. It is really quiet, so you sleep undisturbed. There is a gas grill, a firepit with plenty of firewood, and a nice kitchen/living room combo. Brandon, the owner/prop mgr, was super responsive, so check-in was quick and easy using a door code provided the day before arrival. I stayed here for a quick overnight during Penn State's Family Weekend, and it was great!
