About this property
1 Bed in Sedbergh (oc-g0182)
On the banks of the River Rawthey and on the outskirts of Sedbergh, you’ll find this pretty holiday escape, perfect as a romantic retreat for two. From here, you can explore all that is on offer in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales landscape. It’s a great base for a variety of outdoor activities and there’s a wide selection of scenic walks from your door, through town and out into the fantastic countryside. You can stroll along the river, just metres from the cottage or why not head to the cycle shop and hire some bikes to explore more of the spectacular scenery? Sedburgh itself has plenty of places to eat and drink from tearooms and cafes, to pubs and takeaways, there’s also a golf course less than a mile from the property as well as some local lakes and rivers if you fancy a spot of fishing. If you don't mind going further afield, the Lake District National Park is only a 25 minute drive away.
Inside, the cosy cottage is newly renovated providing a characterful setting with pretty interiors and lots of lovely little thoughtful touches. The welcoming lounge features a warming wood burner in the living room perfect for evenings snuggled up together after exploration of the Dales. To the side of the room is a table for two - the perfect setting for morning coffee looking out at the village beyond. A pretty kitchen is also set down here with a view into the garden and everything you need for cooking meals. Upstairs, the welcoming double bedroom is light and bright and offers a welcoming space for a good night’s sleep. There is also a bathroom with a shower over the bath so you can choose between a long, relaxing soak or a reinvigorating shower.
Outside, and up a small flight of steps, the cute little patio area (ideal for your small four-legged friend) is surrounded by beautiful countryside and miles of stunning views across the Yorkshire Dales. A small patio set allows you plenty of opportunity for sitting outside and admiring your glorious surroundings and perhaps dining alfresco in warmer months.
