Our stay was awesome. We loved the view from our balcony. The sauna, steam room, and hammocks so much we extended an additional night there onto our trip. The staff was helpful. This was the stop on our 3 week trip to Europe that stood out as our favorite place. We will go back on our next trip for sure.

Beautiful viiew of the tallest mountain in Germany. Close to central station but located in old city. Loved it!

The property was located in one of the prettiest towns I’ve ever been in. A plus is there is a hike that leads to some amazing views along the river. You get to hike through caves and over multiple bridges (was freaking dope). Expedia noted laundry but there was no laundry available on site.

We were so happy that we chose this hotel. The rooms are very nice, our view was spectacular. Breakfast was substantial and fueled us until mid afternoon. Beautiful outdoor dining but make a reservation. Ettal is a charming town and close to many attractions.

We were here in summer so it’s very quiet. Only one restaurant open in whole town at night but it was good! The hikes are incredible!

The Parkhotel Matrei has some of the most attentive and friendly staff I’ve met. The hotel gave off “home” feelings and not commercial hotel. The convenience of a front parking lot, gas station & grocery nearby was great and the rooms were perfect size for me and my many bags, as well as a space for me to get my work done. I was also given a holiday gift bag because they knew I’d be alone for the holiday. Just a great place, words don’t do them justice. Definitely will be returning some day!

A very nice Bavarian hotel that is thoroughly modern and updated. The room was roomy, incredible view from the balcony, excellent full breakfast. Staff was very helpful and showed us the easy way to walk to the main street (only 15 minute walk) and showed us some nice walking paths to explore the area.

Exelent hotel and the place is so beautiful

We originally booked and payed for an apartment but due to maintenance issues, the hotel substituted the apartment for two individual rooms sharing a balcony and threw in a complimentary breakfast. Breakfast had a good range of choices and nice surroundings, but service had much to be desired since we waited 15 minutes for someone to come wipe down the table we were going to sit at even though we brought it to the attention of front desk several times.
