Wow what a Beautiful Cabin! This cabin is in the perfect semi-secluded location surrounded by trees and your own private creek running down the middle of the property. Far away from the hustle and bustle to get the much needed R&R. But close enough to everything to see the sights. 5 minutes from the nearest entrance to Smoky Mountains National Park. 15 minutes to Pigeon Forge. 25 minutes to Gatlinburg. The owners have taken great care of this home and it shows. On the main level it features an open concept with exceptional living room with big glass windows. The cathedral style ceilings and spectacular wall of windows pulls the forest scene. With the comfortable sectional sofa, gas fireplace, and 50'' flat screen TV. A half bath is off of the living room. The kitchen is open to the living room with a bar or have a picnic on the deck with a large picnic table and rocking chairs while listening to the rolling stream babble close by. Also on the main level are the two over-sized master bedrooms each with a king-sized bed, Roku TV, and a full bathroom featuring relaxing jetted tubs, perfect after a long day of hiking, shopping and exploring. The bedrooms are located on both ends of the cabin giving everyone some extra privacy and space. The special attention to detail in every room makes Bear Creek Lodge a true delight. Head downstairs to the game room on the lower level and play a game on the pool table while the game is on the impressive flat screen TV. Step out on to the covered porch to enjoy the private steaming hot tub with the fresh mountain air of the Smoky Mountains all around you. The game room separates the two remaining master bedrooms. One offering a queen-sized bed and the other room with two queen-sized beds along with a TV, chest of drawers, night stands and private bath. A double-sized bed in two sleeper sofas are provided for additional sleeping accommodations. Enjoy the open spaces with room to roam about and explore the wooded areas around the cabin. We are pet friendly, but we charge a $75 pet fee per pet for the necessary cleaning for hair, etc. We also have a 2 pet maximum. Because of how VRBO charges fees, please advise us upon booking of the pets you will be bringing, and we will invoice you separately before check in or after checkout. However as always, if the cabin is left extra dirty and/or damaged as a result of pets or otherwise we may have to charge more upon checkout. Getting up to the cabin was a bit rocky but, only due to my irregular experience driving in this terrain. The roads were a bit slick in the rain so be careful driving through the area if you're not famililar driving up steep roads. The cabin itself was great and clean! The pool table and hot tub alone consumed our nightly time. The beds were comfortable but, very squeeky. The view was nice, I bet it's much better when the temperatures get colder. Nov 16, 2024 Liked: Check-in, communication Disliked: Listing accuracy #### Nice cabin but uncomfortable sleep I booked this cabin for my family and friends based on VRBO rating but our experience was not good. Checkin was easy and we got all instructions from host in advance. The cabin was nice and had almost all amenities. What’s not good? There are 5 beds in total and all of them are uncomfortable, everyone complained about back ache and sleepless night the very next day, you cannot remain in one sleeping postion. Also this cabin is fit for 10 people or max 12 with kids else you have to sleep on really uncomfortable sofa beds and you will feel sleeping on metal rods with no mattress. They have many rules, even after paying cleaning fee there are instructions to clean before you leave. The cabin was not cleaned properly as we found used tissues and wrappers under the bed and bathrooms. Location? You have to follow one way path to reach cabin and if you miss the turn you will be driving in the mountains on narrow roads. Don’t expect any help from anyone in that area.one of our friends car was damaged due to above reason. We saw some bears on 2nd day just next to our cabin and kids liked it. It took a while to figure out the TV but that is because most were not technologically savvy people. But once figured out it had so many available options to enjoy. I have never stayed at a place with so many options. The kitchen was well stocked although we didn't do a lot of cooking while there. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the split bedroom plan and make everyone feel like they had their own private oasis. The place was cleaned and well maintained. The only minor issues were the inside steps to the downstairs were steep and the height of some steps were unusually high. If staying downstairs unload and go to the bottom level instead of going through the cabin to the inside steps. Brighter light in the stair area would improve the situation some. The toaster oven kept turning itself on so we had to turn it off by unplugging it. Not knowing what to expect, the initial drive up was a thrill ride, not in a good way. The road is paved and there are other houses along the way, but the road is narrow and when we encountered a car coming in the opposite direction, one car had to back to safe place to let the other car by. A jeep was able to pass by but it was small had enough ground for the wheels but was off the paved area. We were all over 50 so the narrow drive and the steep stairs would bother us more than most. The bedrooms were large and it was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. We had our elderly parents with us. They did pretty well navigating the stairs up to the main level. Thankfully, the stairs are split so it is not a long stairway. It was a nice and comfortable few days away. We have always enjoyed this neighborhood! Thank you! ##### Ellen L. It’s close enough to stores for convenience, yet still feels secluded and peaceful. The communication with the owners was awesome and fast—they were very willing to accommodate our needs.
