About this property
Honey Bear | 2 King Suites, FirePit, HotTub, Views, Pets
HONEY BEAR - A LOG CABIN IN SEVIERVILLE, WITH TWO KING SUITES
Two hand-carved black bears stand at the door, one six feet tall and one nine, with tree and cardinal carvings alongside. They are the reason the cabin has its name, and the first sign it was built with some intention.
`Views are amazing and you can see all views from the hot tub. Cabin well kept and clean. Quiet neighborhood and not too close to each other.` - Janette, April 2026
THE LAYOUT, AND WHY IT MATTERS Two king bedrooms, one on each level, and each with its own full bathroom. That is what makes this cabin work: two couples get a floor apiece, or parents get a floor between them and the children. No queuing for a shower, and nobody walking past anyone else`s door at night.
Downstairs in the game room there is a full-size sofa bed, which suits children or an adult travelling light rather than a third couple. Sleeps six.
LIVING AND GAMES The main living area gathers everyone around a gas fireplace, lit from the timer switch on the wall, and a 50-inch smart TV. Streaming apps are loaded but need your own logins; the Roku carries 50+ free channels that need no account.
Downstairs the game room earns its keep - pool table, foosball table, board games and a TV of its own. Most groups end up down there after dinner and do not surface for a while.
THE DECKS Two wraparound decks, one on each level, so the mountains are in front of you wherever you stand. The upper deck has rocking chairs and a porch swing. The lower deck is where the day winds down: a private hot tub, and a log fire pit with the Smokies stretched out beyond it.
`The deck overlooking the mountains was my favourite spot. Began the day and ended the day there.` - Amanda, June 2026
The fire pit burns wood, and we do not supply firewood - pick up a bundle on your way in. Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure the embers are fully out before bed.
KITCHEN Stocked for real cooking: full fridge and freezer, electric stove and oven, dishwasher, drip coffee maker and a Keurig, blender, toaster, baking sheet and wine glasses. The dining table seats the group, and the gas grill on the deck, propane supplied, handles every night you would rather eat outside.
WORK FROM THE MOUNTAINS Both bedrooms have a proper workspace - desk, monitor, ergonomic chair and lamp - on 1 Gig Wi-Fi. The desks are portable, and some guests move one out to the deck for the afternoon.
COMFORT Central heating and air conditioning year round. Washer and dryer in the cabin. A Pack n Play for little ones. Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hangers and an iron. Self check-in by keypad; your code arrives before you travel, so you can let yourselves in any time from 4 PM.
WHERE YOU ARE Honey Bear sits on a private road in Sevierville, in a quiet, well-planned mountain community.
Wears Valley 4.7 miles - the quieter side of the Smokies, and the one locals send you to Pigeon Forge 6 miles Dollywood 9.3 miles Gatlinburg 14.4 miles
Far enough that the Parkway traffic is somebody else`s problem, close enough to be at dinner in fifteen minutes.
`We saw a big boy bear walk right next to our cabin. You are in the woods. A great place to relax.` - Rich, May 2026
Black bears, deer and wild turkeys move through this part of the mountains. Enjoy them from the deck or the windows, keep food indoors and car doors locked.
GETTING HERE The cabin is easy to reach year-round. However, there is only one sharp turn on a hill as you approach the cabin. Most guests navigate it easily, but we recommend AWD or 4WD during peak winter (Dec 15 - Feb 15) or if snow/ice is expected.
Apple Maps routes to the road one over rather than to the cabin itself - please use the directions we send with your check-in details. Take the last stretch slow and enjoy the views. Curbside parking for two vehicles.
BRINGING A DOG The cabin is genuinely on a mountain, so the yard is sloped and unfenced - there is no flat ground for a big dog to run on. Small dogs do fine. Guests with large breeds tell us the deck became the dog`s favourite spot instead, and that they drove to Patriot Park or the national park for a proper run.
Our cabin is dog-friendly. However thorough our cleaning team is, it is impossible to remove every trace of pet hair, so please consider this if anyone in your group has a severe pet allergy.
SECURITY CAMERAS One exterior security camera overlooks the driveway and records video and audio - it does not look inside. Smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and fire extinguisher on site.
HOT TUB The hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled between every guest, so it may not be up to temperature when you arrive. Adjust it as you like once you are here, never above 104F.
HOUSE RULES 1. No parties or events. 2. Vape pens, smoke, incense, candles and illegal substances are not permitted in or around the cabin.
REACHING US We answer messages and calls from 8 AM to 9 PM daily. For anything urgent outside those hours, our local guest services team is on call.
Our blog has the best local restaurants, theme parks and hiking. Streaming: Streaming apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu, etc.) require your own account and login. The Roku provides 50+ free channels with no login required.
Rental Agreement: Please note that a short rental agreement will be sent after booking is confirmed. This agreement outlines the standard terms of your stay (house rules, responsibilities, and damage policy) and must be completed prior to check-in.
Pet Policy: Only dogs 1 year or older and under 60lb allowed. Up to 2 dogs per reservation, and dogs must be crate-trained and potty-trained, and crated when you`re sleeping or out exploring or any time you cannot supervise. Please pick up after your pets. Loved our stay at this beautiful cabin with a view. It was a perfect location for our family, being in close proximity to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, while at the same time away from the hustle and bustle of the towns.
The cabin itself is beautiful and was very well maintained and clean.
Highly recommend.
The cabin is in a great location if you want to be away from the busy tourist areas. The view is great and our kids really enjoyed the hot tub and gaming area downstairs. Shri is an excellent host from communication to having everything you may need at the cabin. The cabin is in a quiet area, we never heard anything from neighbors and enjoyed the area to walk with our dogs. The grassy area to walk dogs by the cabin is pretty steep going down to flat area so be prepared for that and you may need to bring head lights or flashlights at night since it is pretty dark up where the cabin is. All in all we enjoyed the cabin and hope to stay again.
We stayed in this cabin at the end of July. The cabin was a great size for our family of five. The online description matched what we saw and had at the cabin. We are pretty self sufficient but the time or two that we did have to contact the host he was quick to respond and took care of things. The decks are amazing and the cabin was a great, peaceful escape after the days in Pigeon Forge! We live in the country (rural area) so it was great to find somewhere away from town/noise to stay and hangout. There was things to do at the cabin (hot tub, grill, fireplace, pool, games etc) for anyone just wanting to stay there. Not sure how winters are in that area but there is a steep sharp turn to get to the cabin so just be aware of that, especially if you do not have much experience with mountain driving. We were fine with it being in summer and our rental car did fine. Overall we were happy with our cabin and first time in Tennessee!
Quaint and super cute cabin set nicely up in the mountainside. There are other cabins close, but you can’t see them. Plenty of parking for our large SUV’s. We had 8 humans and 2 pups total and brought a couple air mattresses just for comfort for the teenagers. It was a bit tight for that many guests, but lots of room to spread out on the 2 level deck with the most beautiful views. We enjoyed our morning coffee and sunsets out there. The kids loved playing pool and having some s’mores in the fire pit. Host is so friendly and super easy to deal with. He is incredibly responsive to anything we needed before and during our stay. We were arriving early and at different times so he allowed us early check in for a small fee. That saved us so many hassles! Stay here, you will not regret it!
We had a wonderful week stay at this beautiful cabin. It perfectly accommodated our family and the views were amazing! We were even able to watch the fireworks for New Year's that were set off in Pigeon Forge! My kids absolutely loved the pool table and making memories with my dad! With so much to do and see in the area it was nice to have the cabin atmosphere to come back and to enjoy the views while we relaxed!
As many others have said, the pictures don't do this place justice. The property is in great condition and communication with Shri is above and beyond. The game room was hours of fun for our kids ages 8 and 10. I rated this 5 stars because we had a blast and everything worked out for us. There is one turn around a sharp corner into a steep incline that was difficult and if you have a large truck getting in and out of the drive may be difficult if the cabin at the end of the driveway has more than one car there. Having a large truck I managed just fine it just took a little concentration. This isn't a complaint, but a recommendation for updated furniture in the living room. What is there gives the room the appropriate rustic look, but the large couch/futon was not comfortable or easy to sit in or get out of. Again, we spent a lot of time in the game room, or enjoying the outdoors so this was a non-issue for us in the end. Thank you Shri- we hope to stay again.
Honestly, the pictures don’t do this cabin justice. It’s beautiful with a gorgeous view. It was a little difficult to find the first night, but Shri’s directions were very helpful. The board games and poker set were nice touches, as was the guest book. The beds were COMFY and I slept like a log. It was also great that they’re pet friendly, and Effy definitely enjoyed her stay too. I would book this cabin again in a heartbeat.
We had a great week in the Smokies! Due to COVID concerns, we mostly cooked and ate at the cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked— every thing we needed was there, including a spice rack full of spices. The dishwasher was a great feature, too. We were provided with plenty of towels for showers and the hot tub, which we used often. The two beds were very comfortable, as was the downstairs sofa bed. The upstairs futon type sofa bed was a little lumpy, but our teen still preferred sleeping on it to sharing a bed with a sibling. The location of the cabin was fantastic. You really are up in the mountains and the views are gorgeous. The setting feels remote, but it’s an easy 15 minute drive to Pigeon Forge. We highly recommend!
We enjoyed the property and the area. The cabin is super cute but could use a little extra TLC in regards to a deep cleaning. The downstairs and pool table, etc provided hours of fun for all.
The property was easy to find, not far from town, clean, and lovely! The road is a little scary in the rain and fog, but otherwise the cabin was perfect for our few days in town. The carvings outside are cute and the view is excellent from the porch. We didn’t get a chance to get in the hot tub, but I’m sure it would have been great too.
