I booked this property because of its proximity to the airport. My flight that day was cancelled and I needed to extend my stay in Accra by one day. My host, Derrick, was professional, friendly, patient, and well organized. He helped to make the extra day, extra special and stress free. The property itself was immaculate and I found the staff to be professional, responsive, and knowledgable. My one bedroom unit was bright, tidy, and expertly decorated/appointed: The blackout curtains were a very nice touch. In addition, I found myself within walking distance of a well stocked grocery store and plenty of street-side and restaurant dining choices. I will definitely seek to stay at this property again given the chance.

Villa Monticello is home away from home. The rooms a clean and spacious. The members of staff are courteous and pleasant. Irene has been exceptional.

I stayed for 3 nights while I visited Accra. The restaurant buffet was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to easily take an uber to Osu and Old Jamestown and I was also able to set up a driver for the day.

I only ate the breakfast and it wasn’t good & the $235 rate should be reduced to a $80 rate per day. HIGHLY OVERPRICED. The room furniture was dirty and the bed frame was damaged. The safe in the room was not even bolted down. You could literally walk away with the entire safe.

Special thanks to the manager, Lola, whose leadership is clearly reflected in how well the entire team operates — everyone truly understands what it means to deliver top-tier hospitality. It’s easy to see why this is considered the best 4-star hotel in Ghana. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and the duplex setup is a brilliant option for families or anyone travelling with children — spacious, practical, and thoughtfully designed. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. In fact, I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else. Highly recommended!
