Front desk person was nice. Inside the room was nice. Very nice towels, linens, mattress. Very clean. My only concerns was the move from the highway, and the door didn’t seem as secure as I would want.

The beds are very comfortable, the room is quiet and very clean, and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is good, with a nice selection, but hot items should be served hot, like the coffee or the burritos. They're delicious, but a little cold, as was the bagel, but overall, it's definitely a good option if you're passing through Shamrok. We'll definitely stay there again. ;)

Love the remodel

We got a king suite. It was nicely remodeled. Shower was also remodeled and was great for a hot shower. Still in process of remodeling but i would staybagain.

Highly Recommend!

We were blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the Irish Inn. From the outside it looks like an average roadside hotel/motel, but on the inside it’s anything but. The rooms were beautiful: large, pristine and newly renovated. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was brought to our room in the morning at the time of our choosing. Best of all was the incredibly warm and sincere hospitality we received from the inn’s manager, Rachel. If more people ran their businesses like this outstanding independently-owned inn, the world would be a better place.

They have done a great job refurbishing this place. I worked there when it was a 5 star Best Western, 30 years ago so I had high expectations and it is the cleanest room I've been in in years. It's very nice! Clean, comfortable, quiet. Yes, they're still working on the property, but have accomplished a lot since it was empty for years. Since they turned them into kitchenettes, there's not a bathroom vanity. Different, but doable. Kind of like a tiny home set up. Take a sleep mask if you're sensitive to light from outside. The light switch controls the outlet by the window. The lamps change colors. A full refrigerator and dishes. Rachael is great!!!

Cute and comfy room

They are remodeling so the outside is a little dated but the inside is super cute. Not much on property. I don't think there was a pool. I didn't ask and we weren't staying long. There's a small selection of food for breakfast that they bring to your room. No other restaurant on site and a few options in the area. We got a king bedroom. Fully stocked kitchen with a full fridge and freezer. One way window film on the windows that we didn't notice until the morning. Would stay here if we were in the area. I really enjoyed the room. Especially the comfy bed.

We arrived at 3:45 PM (time changed during road travel). I was informed that they "didn't open until 4 PM." (At a hotel?) I booked online with Expedia asking for a pet-friendly room. This seemed to be an issue for the hostess, even though there were no guests at the hotel. $56.10 later, we got our room. Spacious, comfortable. The sink in the kitchenette was also the bathroom sink, which I didn't like. But the room was clean and we liked that we could watch Netflix on their TV. We were given 2 free frozen chicken potpies for dinner, and breakfast was delivered to our room, which was a pleasant surprise! Most places have a common room for breakfast, but this one took your order the night before. The location was a SECOND off of Interstate 40, so it was so easy to find. I would stay here again.

A truly wonderful place to stay

Everything was clean and new, the bed was comfortable, the rooms were quiet, and I had a lovely conversation with the desk manager. The hot breakfast was made to order and brought to my room exactly on schedule. I would absolutely stay here again.
