It was close to everything we wanted to see and do while we were in Strasburg and the surrounding area. If you stay at the Riverside Retreat, be sure to visit the many historical places around the area. Zoar and the Ohio Erie Canal sites are very interesting, along with Fort Laurens, the first continental outpost of the Ohio Frontier, during the American Revolution."

"House was clean. Loved the backyard. Only thing was the water smelled like sulpher pretty bad. Kitchen items were a bit minimal for cooking for larger family. And most air b n bs weve stayed at provide coffee. This one didnt. Overall it was a good place to stay though and would stay again"

"The property is absolutely amazing. Luxury amenities like bidets and fireplaces and a hot tub and game room. I appreciate the quality cookware so you can eat at home easily. We also used the grill. The outdoor space was great for suppers and socializing. Plenty of seating and the pool table and game room was family fun for all. Easy driving distance to all the fun Amish country activities. We will definitely come back."

"We wanted a peaceful getaway and that’s what got at the Buck Shack. We were a short drive with breathtaking views and landscapes. We enjoyed a campfire with s’mores at night. Enjoyed the sound of nature and birds singing. Had excellent communication with host and most everything we needed when we arrived. The indoor decor is rustic and beautifully decorated with small accents and details. Highly recommend!☺️"
