If you’re looking for 5-star hotel conditions, this isn’t the place for you (yes, the old wood floors do squeak a bit!). But if what you want is a peaceful, inviting, and restful getaway, this little cottage might be just right. It was perfect for us — we cooked simple meals, relaxed in the living room by the wood stove, and explored the beautiful surroundings, including Lassen Volcanic National Park....
