Shirakawa Vacation Packages
Shirakawa is situated approximately 110 miles (177 kilometers) north of Chiba and 100 miles (161 kilometers) north of Tokyo, Japan's capital.
Do make the most of everything Shirakawa has to offer. Make sure you visit the Komine Castle Ruins or Sennenji Temple.
While it may be tempting to just chill out when visiting Shirakawa, don't forget, Fukushima 's diverse scenic and cultural delights are never more than a day trip away. To explore the area in even greater depth, head 15 miles (24 kilometers) where you'll find Nasushiobara. Here you can pay a visit to the Nogi Jinja Shrine and Nasunogahara Museum.
When you are ready to head further afield beyond Shirakawa, why not visit the nearest center. Nasu sits 9 miles (14 kilometers) away and is home to sights including Nasu Safari Park, Nasu Stained Glass Museum and Nasu Folk Museum. Nasu Animal Kingdom, Onsenjinjya Shrine and Stone Plaza are also worth checking out before returning to Shirakawa.
Maybe one of the most useful gestures you can make to locals you'll encounter in your travels is to go to the trouble of understanding a few common words and phrases. An example of a hand local sentence is "Isshoni odorimasenka?" (Would you like to dance with me?). And, for "Where's the toilet?", you can say "Benjo wa doko desu ka?" It's fun to give it a go!
At the end of your holiday in Shirakawa, pack up your camera and mementos, spend your last of your yen, and bid Sayōnara (farewell) to this spectactular spot.
