The view from the lookout on Mt Slocombe, located near Yaraka, Queensland. The views overlook the Yang Yang Ranges and nearby farming plains. This shot was taken at dawn just as the sun was about to break above the horizon on the other side of the lookout. I was surprised how still it was atop the mountain (or technically a jump up). Mt Slocombe lookout offers vast views across outback Queensland and is a great spot to catch sunrise or sunset. It's just a 5min drive from the town of Yaraka where you can rest for the night at the homely pub (I can personally recommend it) before venturing further west towards Birdsville. #queensland #australia #nationalpark #goldenhour
