Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
The positive : we loved the food and the variety they offered. The cheese, fresh greens and veggies are fantastic. The baking was delicious.
The outside of the hotel is in good shape, well maintained and looked fantastic, water park looked interesting- a child’s dream.
Very children friendly facility.
The negative: At least our room had water damaged floorboards, wallpaper, bathroom door, mirror frame and the minibar. As a contractor myself it was disappointing.
On the beach 90% of guest were smoking in non smoking area. Lots of garbage and plastic on the beach left behind by guests. NOT ACCEPTABLE!
No staff did anything against it.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The hotel was very nice. Clean rooms and loads of space. A lot of the staff didn't speak English, but very respectful and willing to help with questions. Some of the other patrons were rude. They did not want to wait in line for food or service. There were plenty of options for meals. I found the buffet to have a lot of good choices. I especially liked the fried chicken at the outside buffet by the pool. The Irish bar had top shelf liquor that they made their specialty drinks with or you could request your own concoction. Plenty of bottled water everywhere.
The beach was an 8 min walk. They had a service to take/return that ran every 15 min. The beach was clean with plenty of lounges. There was even a cantina that you could get burgers, hotdogs, french fries, fruit and ice cream bars. No alcohol is served at the beach.
The pool area is large. There's a bunch of water slides, kiddie area, adult pool, loads of lounges. Some of the tiles where the water is collected are in need of repair.
Overall, really enjoyed the stay.

Liked: Amenities
+ Friendly and good service
+ Overall appearance clean
+ Versatile services at the hotel
+ Beach shuttle
+ Very cheerful cleaners
- Children's cocktails poorly available
- Fruit only whole
- Very limited selection at the beach bar
- Drinks served to the tables at the buffet restaurant
We were there during the opening week so it's understandable that things are still finding their place. Renovations here and there. Help and changes were received as soon as you asked and the staff was really friendly. The swimming pools were still very cold, including the children's pools. There are so many restaurants and different places in the hotel that the impression is a bit confusing. Children's cocktails were only found on the first floor, which was disappointing because there are otherwise many restaurants by the pools. The room was clean and spacious but the bed felt like springs. We got the blankets immediately upon request.
Overall good experience at the hotel and stuff:)
Our 10 day stay started with the receptionist getting upset that we didn’t book our stay through an agent and the fact we didn’t have a voucher. Not a nice welcome, and we have never had an experience like this in any previous bookings at other hotels. The room was ok, but had to little storage for the 3 people the room was made for. Since we were only 2 it was ok. The beds are way harder than European standard and needed a topper badly. The rooms got cleaned every day, which was good, but there was sand everywhere because the balcony was not cleaned, and we had to ask for toilet paper twice. All this is minor irritation, but the saddest part for us was the food. We tried two ala carte restaurants, and there were very few options. The main restaurants had a lot of options, but most dishes was local diskes or arabic dishes, and the spices was not to our taste. Our only options was salads, pasta or fried food. This was very disappointing as we had a great food experience at another resort near by last year. As for the beach it is ok that we needed to take a shuttle bus (free) or walk 5 minutes, but the beach was not so nice. There are sharp rocks in the water, so both of us got cuts on our hands, legs and feet while swimming. There are also fish or shellfish that bites where you have cuts (not the fault of the hotel). So, my conclusion is; if you are from Skandinavia, not a huge fan of local dishes or swimming pools you should select a different hotel.
I want to preface this by saying we were visiting from the USA. The property is mediocre at best, and honestly most of it has to do with the attitude of the staff. They have no idea what hospitality looks like, and we found ourselves having issues with the staff on multiple occasions. Besides this, they are out of food whenever we ordered from the restaurants, they refused to change sheets, they don’t even give you a top cover unless you call and complain. That is kind of the summary of this place, they begrudgingly offer you service only if you complain. The property is slightly run down, but would have been ok if the staff were just cordial. You will not find any of them smiling, it’s really a depressing place to stay. We stopped by the neighboring properties to make sure we weren’t crazy, and they were leaps and bounds ahead. I think this is way overpriced for what you are getting, this is a direct warning to anybody who wants to book here.
This hotel was okay, however if you are looking to be on the beach this hotel is not for you, the beach was far and needed a shuttle- the beach was also not kept up and has brown sand making the water appear dirty. I would not stay at this property again.
pos.: good food; very friendly and competent team;
neg.: too many beach loungers makes it impossible to enter the pool; buffet team did not motivate to care for food
The resort itself is amazing. Staff is great too! But here comes the issues - extremely loud environment, unruly children running around(I have a 6 year old boy, but he has never been allowed to act like all other children), no adult supervision until early morning hours, security doesn’t do anything, parents don’t care! The parents drink until 3 am and shout, not talk in the common areas. The disco music is extremely loud, windows and walls are thin! And around 3 am when you think that you can get sleep the cleaning crew starts moving tables and the sound is horrible! Air conditioning is set to 23 C and you can’t adjust it lower. It’s monitored and managed by guest relations. Get a higher floor room not over pool to avoid the disturbance.
The food is so so. Don’t even waste your time with the A La Cart restaurants especially the Asian one - you will be waiting for something that has nothing to do with sushi or Mongolian beef, tasteless small portions. You are better off eating at the Sunset main buffet style restaurant. Variety is ok. The other good restaurant is the 24/7 one in the end of the resort Waterworld. Coffee shop and patisserie’s are good.
The beach is so so - has some rocks in the beginning and sand afterwards. Very small! The pool facilities are great - they get very crowded and people are keeping sun lounges from 8 am with their towels.
The best part of our trip was the spa center - amazing massage options and facials.
Old town Side is a must visit!
