“The room was very clean and comfortable”

“Don't go to this motel during the fourth weekend of August. First, there is a yearly NASCAR-type weekend in the region that attracts too many travelers. Second, it's also on a major truck route heading in and out of North Carolina, so that adds to the increase in use of the rooms by folks who don't take care of things. The motel can't keep up with the bookings. Third, the staff does a terrible job of maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms, and they don't seem to care. Our room had dirty sheets……

“Parking area if coming in after dark needs better lighting at least on portions of the path to the center courtyard”

“Dirty room. Sheets smelled used, nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, spider in the bathroom, built up dust on lamps, bathroom had stains all over it. Don't recommend staying here.”

“Highly recommend a stay in this grand, old house! It had everything we were looking for! South Boston is worth visiting for its history, charm and people. We will be returning to visit again!”
