Southwest Ireland Castle Hotels

This place was exquisite and we plan to return in the future. The staff was very helpful and delightful. The restaurant was outstanding for both breakfast (excellent buffet) and dinner (spectacular). The setting is beautiful and walking distance from Muckross Abby and Muckross House. The walking paths are tranquil and well kept. A beautiful place that we LOVED and highly recommend.

A welcoming and warm staff. Excellent accommodations and most delicious food in the restaurant. Would not hesitate to stay at the beautiful Killeen House when visiting the area again. Highly recommend.

EXCELLENT stay! We arrived extremely late after a long day sightseeing. We were greeted by an extremely friendly front desk clerk (wish I got his name) who immediately checked us in. The following morning, we went in search of the Castles dog. We found him doing his job, right in front of the castles entrance! Grounds were lovely, Irish people have to be the absolute kindest people on earth! I highly recommend Ballyseede Castle!

After staying in many hotels all around the country on our visit over 11 days, we found the Ross Hotel room to be the most special. Our room had a king bed, fireplace, sitting area and a spacious bath and closet area. Our view was a back alley and also a lovely side view of a church. Even though we could hear music from the downstairs businesses, our room was very comfortable and we slept well. We experienced an extra helpful and friendly front desk staff, especially Katrina. Also giving...

Salmon Falls was lovely, we were a little sad to only be spending one night there (we drove a big loop through Ireland, so jumped between several hotels). They were very warm and inviting and friendly. Our room was comfortable and huge, could've fit multiples of some of the other rooms in it, particularly the bed was comfortable. The delicious breakfast is especially not to be missed.

We just returned from Ireland and my opinion of this hotel is that the service and staff are as good as it gets. The bar is so nice and we made friends there every night which made it very fun. The rooms are smallish and nothing really special: mattress is great, pillows just okay. The location is perfect and you could walk to great restaurants, pubs & shopping without hearing the noise.

Room was very clean, very short walk to dining, bars, and shopping, breakfasts were excellent, Lucy is so animated and full of energy. Loved the stay here for two nights.

Lovely small hotel with on site breakfast bistro, full service restaurant and 2 taverns. Very close to all the shopping, restaurants and attractions that Kenmare offers. Ideal location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Older property that has been well maintained. Very comfortable bed. Parking is available on location. If it’s full, park in the adjacent gravel lot that seems to be unattached to the Lansdowne but available for anyone to use.

Hotel was lovely and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Everything was great!!

Lovely hotel! Extremely comfortable and quiet. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent and the morning's breakfast was superb! The staff was super friendly and nice and the property was very clean and nicely maintained! Would stay here again, overall excellent place to stay!

All the charm of Ireland. We had a lovely stay at Earl's Court! There where three of us and our room was spacious. The hotel was welcoming and very homey . The staff: Erma, Margaret and others were marvelous and could not do enough for you. The location was super, close to town and other sites. I have already recommended Earl's to my colleagues and friends🍀

Was a very nice hotel.

property was wonderful! Location is great for easy access to downtown area as well on the national park and Muckross property. Our room was absolutely beautiful with a full jacuzzi tub! Will definitely be booking here again!

Such a quietly elegant place. You feel like you are in Downton Abbey. The staff understands service and was gracious, helpful to a fault and friendly but never overbearing. The bathroom had a deep tub, heated towel rack and floor. It also had a terrace and a separate room as a closet. I was not in their best room but a mid-level room. There were many activities for both rainy and sunny days. This information is listed in the hotel manual. For example, you can go horseback riding or on a "jaunt"...

Great place great evening jazz music with pianist and saxophonist Not sure if a regular but made the evening wonderful Everyone so helpful and enthusiastic Loved the smiles of the staff They appear to genuinely care Lee

Large rooms very considerate staff, food in the bar was good,no idea why this hotel only gets a three rating - I would score significantly higher than three stars. Great shopping for Irish produced clothing

This was probably one of my favorite hotels in Ireland. I loved the easy parking for our cars, the rooms, amenities, and the bar. The staff there are all top notch, the hotel itself is lovely, and the location is wonderful. It seemed very quiet there. The only issue is coffee. If in-room coffee suits you, then no issues for you. But if you want good coffee at the hotel it's $20 room service, or the $60/pp breakfast. Fortunately Depeche coffee is 5 minutes walk down the way - just be aware that...

The room was spacious and the amenities lovely. I urge you to experience the spa. I only had time for a massage, but the combination specials they offer seem to be a great value. The massage was well done and much needed. I felt great afterward. I was also in love with the heated indoor pool the shape of a long Lima bean - all 4 ft. deep. We had dinner at the hotel, which was quaint and played quirky 80's music. My only recommendation and disappointment was the sole (fish) dinner. The...
