This beautifully renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is just 1.7 miles from Burgess Falls State Park and minutes from Rock Island State Park and Cummins Falls. Conveniently located 15 minutes from Cookeville and its boat dock, 20 minutes from Hurricane Marina, and an hour and a half to Pigeon Forge or Nashville. Perfect for exploring the Upper Cumberland's scenic spots. If you're seeking a charming and well-located home, this is your ideal getaway! The Space: Newly updated and fully furnished home with high end furnishings. This home features a newly built extra large deck with beautiful pavilion with Edison lights and new patio furniture. Build yourself a camp fire (Firewood not provided) at the fire pit and relax in one of the Adirondack chairs, unwind and completely slow down to enjoy every moment with friends, family, or just yourself. The bedrooms all feature queen beds and all the rooms have Vizio TVs which you can relax and watch over 150 free channels or stream your favorite movie sites with our high speed wireless internet. This property has a full sized kitchen with stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator. We have a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, dishes, washer & dryer and much more. We look forward to hosting you and are happy to answer any questions! Guest Access: Guest have access to the entire apartment. No smoking is allowed. (Smoking Violation fee is $350) Disclaimer: Please note that occasional Wi-Fi issues from the service provider may occur. The property is beautiful, and the surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous—just about 10 minutes from Walmart, which was super convenient. It was such a great place to relax and unwind.One suggestion: it would be great to update the shower head for better water pressure.Unfortunately, we experienced some plumbing issues during our stay and had to cut our trip short. It is beautifully decorated. They have provided the small details that make the stay very nice. The beds are comfortable and extra blankets are available for comfy movie watching on the couch. We were so pleased with the location and how close the house is to Burgess falls. We can't think of anything that they could do to make the stay any better than it already is. The sheets smelled freshly washed. This was very pleasing to me, however, my daughter-in-law has issues with scented things. So as much as I loved it, if you have issues with fragrances, this might not be the place for you. Or you could probably let the owner be aware of your sensitivities ahead of time. We really enjoyed staying at the house. Several days before our stay, our credit card company notified us of a 200 charge by an “unknown” entity, (Preauth Steven’s Real). Neither of us could figure out who or what that was so my husband cancelled his card. Later I realized it was the VRBO. I contacted them to inquire and they said it was a deposit they take and we would be refunded after our stay. The day of check in we called and told them of our new card number.After we were there for two days, in the evening around 6:30pm someone parked outside the rental. They came and knocked on the door. It was a guy who said he didnt’t know someone was staying there and he was going to replace the air conditioner filter. My husband asked who upheld worked for and the guy said Steven’s Realty.We were never notified he was coming. We didn't feel comfortable staying there after he left so since we had finished our business in town we decided to pack up and leave 3 days early. We took pictures of everything before we left in case someone was able to re-enter and stay there. Very disappointing.If the guy from Steven’s didn’t know we were there then how was he going to enter to change out the filter?Every time I texted VRBO it was like texting a computer or automated system. I no longer feel comfortable or safe renting from VRBO.Also, there was a note in the laundry room that said we were to take the garbage can down to the road for garbage pick up on Friday. Furnishings were clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 4 people or more and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was very restful and quiet. The interior of this property is excellent. Everything was very clean. As for the exterior, we also really enjoyed the gazebo in the backyard and sitting on the front porch in the morning as the sun came up. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is also a great place. It's quite a distance from just about anything. It's about 20 minutes from shopping in Sparta or Cookeville. If you want to know what it's like to live in the country, this is the place for you. The inside is clean and very charming with 3 nice size bedrooms with very comfortable beds. We all enjoyed our morning coffee in the backyard gazebo and I enjoyed working one morning from the front porch.
