Great house - lots of rooms and beds. Loved the extra hang out area in the lowest level. Dock is in great shape and close to the Flat Hollow Marina. Also only about 15 minutes from the grocery store. Really enjoyed our time - relaxing, boating, tubing, and swimming!
Great venue. Old college buddies get together every year for a long weekend. We are 50+ now but still enjoy a good time. This place comfortably accommodated 9 of us with beds to spare. Very nice place. Great communication with property owner.
We try to make it down to Norris, at least 2–3 times a year, we really liked the house and like that it was back off the main channel, so the kids could fish and swim. I know most people complain about the steps but I like it because it’s a good workout - lol.
Thanks again to the owners!

Upon arrival we were able to gain access to the home with no issue. The home was clean and organized. Rules and regulations were visible and clear. We did notice a smell in the home and reached out to the property owner. There was a quick response and maintenance arrived shortly after. We spent more time enjoying the beautiful warm and clean dock where we used the provided water toys and rented a boat from the local marina. The community was warm and welcoming. We had a large group ranging in age and there was something to do for everyone. I would stay at this property again.
Our stay at Spring Lily was absolutely fantastic. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable for a large group. Tom & Natalie were super responsive and helpful anytime we reached out to them. We would happily go back.
Some info that might be helpful to visitors:
- There are approx 96 stair steps from the dock to the main level... this is a workout (even for our collegiate athletes!). It felt like a nice workout to balance all the food and drink, so we didn't mind it.
- Flat Hollow Marina was great for buying bags of ice, renting a boat & jet ski. They also had "Taco Tuesday", karaoke and live entertainment in the evenings.
- The lake water is SO blue & clear you can easily see your toes when swimming. Also, for July, the water was a perfect temp... not cold at all.
- The wifi gets a bit overloaded if you have a large group all with devices trying to log in. But the marina has free wifi. :-)
- The road leading to the house is one-way and the parking is tight, but very do-able for 3 "cars". (for us: 2 SUVs and a 5'x8' uhaul trailer, we unhooked).
- The house sound proofing is AMAZING. We had a group that stayed up late and played games, foozball, etc. If they were on the main floor, you could slightly hear them from the master bedroom (but we used one of the box fans and it created plenty of white noise). BUT, if people were on the lower 2 floors, we could not hear anything from the master. It was impressive.
Overall an A++!
Our family of 23 (10 adults and 13 kids ages 5-16) had the most amazing week on the lake! We found the house to be just as we expected. The space was very adequate for our needs and the well stocked kitchen allowed us to cook elaborate meals all week. The water was absolutely gorgeous and clear. Whether on the boat or just playing/fishing/swimming at the dock, we loved every minute. Kind of even appreciated all those steps to work off all the great meals we were eating. We enjoyed trivia and karaoke at the marina a couple nights as well. Fun time all around!
Wonderful stay! Had an issue with AC and owner fixed within 24 hours! Great communication with owner! Easy check in and out process! House as advertised!
We had 4 families with 8 adults and 8 kids ranging 14-22. Had a wonderful time. Loved the different levels as it gave everyone space to spread out and do their own thing. Game room was awesome for the kids. Dock was wonderful for boating and just to swim and float about. Being back in flat hollow made it more protected and calm. We appreciated the kayaks and paddle board as it gave us more variety. It was close to the marina for dinner a couple nights. We cooked many of the other nights. The covered patio off the kitchen with the fan was great for sitting even during the hottest of weather. Really couldn’t have asked for anything more. Highly recommended. Lovely, clean, and we’ll kept.
Had a wonderful time at this property. A few minor hiccups, everything promptly dealt w by owners. Wi-Fi a little spotty, but that’s not why I’m in the lake!! Great location, just not my favorite part of the lake, but that’s a preference.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to this beautiful mountain lake house! The place was perfect in terms of layout, cleanliness, location, and the views were to die for the pictures do not do it justice! The owners were readily available and answered any questions that we had and were very sweet even left us a token to take home for a memory for our trip! We will certainly be back, it’s a perfect place for summer or winter! Thank you for the memories! ♥️
This property was perfect for a large group of people! So many stairs, but it was worth it for the view and space to sleep so many. We used up every bit of the space, but still felt roomy and not cramped. The lake front is both beautiful and convenient. The only downside was the parking situation, with many people comes a decent amount of cars, but we were warned in advance about the limited number of spots.
The home is lovely, sleeps 16 easily with pullout sofas for more. The dock is amazing (as long as you don’t mind lots of steps), we hung out there before and after boat trips. Nice ladder down to the water for swimming. Flat Hollow Marina is 5 minutes away by car, 15 by boat. Nice places at the house to gather for dinner and games inside and out. My family loved it!
Natalie and her husband were extremely awesome host and we had a wonderful weekend with our family despite not wonderful weather we made the best of it. They even were gracious enough to give us a little time extra on Monday to check out a little late because there wasn’t someone checking in that day, which was , some thing they did not have to do.... we recommend staying here the marina that is close is fun. If you have a joy for live bands, some weekends, they have those and Norris lake never disappoints.
This beautiful home was a perfect fit for our family of our adult children & grandchildren. Lots of room to gather together or find some space for some quiet time. We couldn't be happier with our choice. The owners responsed to a slight problem with their beautiful new dock immediately & I'm happy to say we had no issue with the septic system 😀. We would love to rent this home again!
The property accommodated our group of 12 comfortably. We enjoyed the quiet setting of the cove, hanging and swimming from the dock was some of our favorite time spent. The kids enjoyed kayaking and fishing from the dock.
Access to Flat Hollow Marina was convenient, the marina staff was very friendly and helpful.
Our only criticism, the house was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. We had to do some light cleaning before settling in.
The owners were good to work with, very responsive.
This was our groups 19th year getting together for “Water Safety Weekend” and our first time renting a house over a houseboat. The house was everything we could have asked for during our stay. There is a lot of steps down to the water but that was to be expected. Check in was great as we got there a little early and the owners worked with us in letting us unload our vehicles while they finished cleaning. The dock was large enough for our group and had plenty of room for us to park our boats. Would definitely consider staying at this property again.

Great house for large families, very attentive owners
This is a very nice house with a good layout for large families. The owners are super nice and very attentive to any issues you may have. It was a very enjoyable week.
Pros: large house, multiple bathrooms, jacuzzi, rec room basement, good parking for at least 4 cars (you’ll understand when you see nearby houses), great owners
Cons: only near Flat Hollow Marina (no quick trips to other groceries or restaurants), WiFi is cellular-based (decent reception but unreliable speeds - but may not have other options in the area as cell service around the lake was very spotty with Verizon), many steps down to the dock.
Cannot say enough about our family trip for Thanksgiving. Even 3 days later, my Mom cannot stop talking about how much fun we had. One of the most memorable trips in a long time. Very spacious and clean property. Everything was in good condition and my family and my friends made use of all amenities. (ie hot tub, fire pit, BBQ grill, etc) Trisha responded very quickly for anything we needed, which was honestly very little. Ended our trip by making a new tradition with jumping in Norris Lake!! LOL. Thanks again for everything.
Excellent Norris Lake House for 1 or More Families
We stayed just 1 family in this big Norris lake House in Flat Hollow Marina but it is well suited for 2 or 3 families. It was our first time to Norris Lake so we didn't know what to expect and the Lake was like no other we'd previously visited. It is clear, calm, and wasn't very crowded. The floating houses in the marinas were very new to us and being just beyond them was great so the area in front of the house wasn't crowded. The only drawback was the significant amount of steps to and from the dock, no fault of the house/property itself, just coping with the landscape. I would say if you have any older grandparents or anyone who has limited mobility, they may need assistance when going down to the dock. The only thing we wished was that we had better luck fishing but still caught lots of bluegills for the kids! We really enjoyed our time at Spring Lilly!
This was our second time visiting Norris Lake. The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with. The house was well equipped with everything you need. The positives are that it is large so you have space to spread out. The high ceilings make it feel spacious. We enjoyed our time sitting outside at the patio table under the fan. The some of the negatives things I was aware of prior to our visit. The kitchen is very small for cooking for that amount of people and the house location is in a canal past a marina so you have to go slow for about 10 minutes before reaching an area you can go fast in. The other two were the non existent internet in the house and the sewer smell outside near the hot tub. (Both of which I realize the owners can’t change) We also hit a rainy week so the lake was filled with logs everywhere. (Obviously to no fault of the owners) During our stay the hot tub was also not very clean and they were very quick to send someone to drain the hot tub and replace all the water which we really appreciated.
