Just 500 short steps and your toes are in the sand! Equally close are all of the restaurants, bars and grocery shopping on Vilano Rd, the main street of this area! Situated in Vilano Beach just a few minutes walk to the beach and inter-coastal waterway, this neighborhood is safe and highly sought-after as a vacation destination. Conveniently located a 2 minute drive from the Publix grocery store and multiple restaurants. Layout/Beds: 3 Bed 2 Bath - Sleeps 8 THE LAYOUT: This home has a solid 3/2 layout. \>MASTER BEDROOM + BATH: King size bed and en suite bathroom with walk in shower and garden tub \>GUEST BEDROOM 1: Queen size bed \>GUEST BEDROOM 2: Queen size bed. \>QUEEN Blowup Mattress \>2ND FULL BATH: Located in the hall between the two guest bedrooms with shower/tub combo. Smart TV with streaming apps! Take a relaxing bath in the Master en-suite bathroom tub, enjoy a cup of coffee on the colorful patio furniture, or take a dive in the pool! \*SECURITY DEPOSIT: In lieu of a traditional security deposit charge or authorization hold for a large sum, we will instead charge a one-time non-refundable incidentals fee to your stay of $99\. This fee acts as insurance for minor damages and covers you up to a max of $1000 of damage. You may elect to increase your incidentals fee for more coverage ($99 for $1000, $149 for $1500, $199 for $2000 and so on and so forth). \*IMPORTANT: Guests must report to us any damage that has taken place during their stay before checkout, otherwise the incidental fee coverage is null and void. In this case, we reserve the right to charge the full amount of repairing or replacing the damaged items to you. Your insurance coverage amount ($500, $1000, $1500, etc) is not the max that you are responsible for. If damages exist beyond your coverage amount we will document this with photos and professional estimates of repair, and bill you for the repairs or replacements. Guest Access: You will have access to the entire home. Please make yourself at home! Option to have pool heated for $60/day or $350/wk. When outside temperatures fall below 60°F, the heater will continue to operate; however, the surrounding air may prevent the pool from reaching the desired temperature. The Neighborhood: One of the prime areas of Vilano Beach, you will find the area is bordered to the East by the Atlantic Ocean and to the West by the Tolomato River (or what we St. Augustinians call "The Intercoastal"). Located just a two minute drive from the home is a Publix grocery store with everything you could need! In that shopping center you can rent or buy equipment for any water sports activity. Just a four minute drive over the Vilano Bridge is Camanchee Cove, where you can rent a boat for the day or charter deep sea fishing tours, or enjoy dinner at the famous Kingfish Grill. Getting Around: We suggest renting a car for your stay. Other Things to Note: Rental Agreement: A quick virtual rental agreement is required—simple and guest-friendly! Traveling with Little Ones? If you see them outside, they are just on site to do their job and keep the home in its best condition for the enjoyment of our guests. Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7. Guests must be 21 or older to book. Please Note: Pool is offered at $60 a day or $350 a week. The location is excellent, just a 5 min walk from the beach, and communication from the property manager was top notch. There are beach chairs and pool/beach toys under the stairs leading out to the pool. The pool is beautiful, but I caution future renters about paying for pool heat. The pool heat only runs from 8am to 8pm, and it wasn’t able to keep up with the outdoor temps when we were there so I feel like we wasted $200\. Inside, the decor is cute, but some of the wall art appeared to be missing since there were just empty hooks on the wall. The bathrooms, especially the master, left much to be desired. The fixtures were deteriorated and calcified (likely due to Florida’s hard water). Only one block off the beach, close to shopping and just across the bridge from St. Augustine made our stay relaxing and convenient. The property manager kept in touch and we had zero issues. What a great little house on a quiet little street literally midway between the beach and the bay. A perfectly easy walk to both. The house was immaculate and well stocked. It was so nice to have more than one days supply of tide/cascade/trash bags…… like the regular rentals. Spices and olive oil were a nice touch too!! This is clearly a leave it better than you found it type place! Dani and team were in contact daily just to see if anything was needed.
