They've done an excellent job converting an old school house into a hotel. The location was good not too far from the ferry, but the breakfast was pretty basic
The property was previously a school transformed to inn. From outside looks very ordinary but inside it's very good and clean. Bathrooms were very good and new. We loved our stay there in the family room.
What a fun stay! The owners are great people and so fun to talk to. You can also get “screeched in” here like I did and become an honorary Newfoundlander. The food is excellent and the rooms are clean and spacious. Highly recommended!
This inn exceeded our expectations. Our room was very big and very clean. The dining room was cozy and conversation flowed between the tables. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we saw places on our drive today that we would have missed if they hadn’t told us about them last night.
We will definitely stay here again if we are back this way. Very convenient to the Labrador ferry terminal in St Barbe.
This hotel was perfect.
We stayed in the family room, had 4 double beds set up like bunk beds great when travelling with kids or Friends. The room was Spacious, with high ceilings. The room was clean and beds were comfortable with nice linen.
The hotel had a bar with pool tables and restaurants. The Continental breakfast was perfect, with homemade breads , fruit, cereal, muffins . The staff are friendly and even gave us a tour of the hotel,. Definitely recommend when staying in the area.
This hotel is a hidden gem, has a full gymnasium with lots of sports equipment to wear out the kids after a long day of driving. Also has a full bar with pool tables and dart boards for the parents to use while the kids a playing. This is our new go to while waiting for the ferry. The rooms are super clean and in excellent condition.

Interesting use for an old school, with minimal customer service. Bunk beds in each room. Simple and clean with a very basic continental breakfast of toast and muffins.
The room and facility was very nice and quaint. The family running the inn was very nice and friendly. The breakfast had gluten free option (cereal and snack bar). The dinner was fabulous and cod was freshly made and freshly caught the day before. We had a platter (cod, scallops, shrimp) for dinner and the chef was able to modify the dish to be gluten free. Highly recommend eating dinner here and staying again.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very spacious and very clean. Breakfast was great with lots to choose from. Highly recommended.

This is an old elementary school that has been renovated into rooms. They were clean but basic with a fridge. Located in the restaurant area was a well stocked coffee bar. The meals were home cooked and tasty. This is a place if you are passing through and need a place to stop. There is also a bar attached (the old cafeteria)
This is a super cool spot. An old elementary school turn hotel, bar and restaurant. Each classroom has be turned into two rooms and the family rooms have bunch beds for the kids. The fish is cooked to perfection and lady that runs it is super helpful- we took her advice and drove to the end of route 138 when we came to Quebec/Labrador by ferry. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars across the board is that it was a noisy at night and we needed to be up at 5:30 to catch the ferry. Thanks for a great evening.

We had the 4 bunk bed family room. This was so neat and so fun for the kids ( or grown ups with child like wonder)
The bunks were huge - double beds with extra high ceilings height.
Not to mention a converted elementary school!! So neat with all the old school charm.
Didn’t look like much form the outside
However anyone would enjoy their stay. Clean new bathrooms, delicious food. And affordable.
The rooms and linens were clean, the staff was as helpful as they could be since there was only 2 total staff. The coffee was only available in the dining area and pricey for Keureg pods. The menu selection for dining was all deep fried.
Overall a decent last minute place to lay your head for the night but don’t expect to be wowed or to get a health conscious meal.
