"I don’t know where to begin. What a beautiful, beautiful spot. Check in was easy and quick. The staff were so kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were housed in a joining room which was perfect for our family of 4. Our favourite part was the food. We booked a reservation for the night of our arrival. The Mac and cheese on the kids menu was the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had (of course I had to eat some of our kids’ meals lol). The beds were exceptionally comfortable! We were blown away by the breakfast - complementary to your stay and it was phenomenal. I didn’t realize it was part of our stay so I was quite shocked when we didn’t have to pay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying on the Isle of Skye. It’s a perfect spot to stay if you’re doing a northern Skye loop (old man of Storr, kilt rock, quiraing etc). This definitely is more than a 3 star hotel in my opinion! I’d choose a spot like this over a Sheraton any day. "
"Stunning location, nothing but peace and tranquility. Very comfortable accommodation, very well equipped, and very friendly hosts. The fresh flowers and bottle of wine were an extra special touch. Seeing otters in the loch from the kitchen window was truly amazing."
Magnificent views from our 2 Bedroom well appointed, comfortable family home

KETTLE COTTAGE - Pet friendly, cosy Hebridean Cottage on North Uist
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful secluded location, within minutes walk of the rugged coast or a few minutes drive to a fabulous sandy bay. Facilities seem complete, with nothing else needed for our stay and the cottage was spotless and warm when we arrived. The entire region is visually stunning. Host is friendly and responsive if needed."
Beautifully appointed cottage, overlooking South Harbour, Scalpay
10/10 Excellent
"This lovely cottage is better than the pictures. To start each morning in the sunroom with a cup of tea, looking out at the spectacular view was a gift. The bedrooms were all lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook some wonderful meals. The weather was superb and we were also able to dine outside on the terrace. It was a joy to communicate with the owner, Fiona. We loved the little additional touches, like the local shower gels and shampoo from the Isle of Harris. The Outer Hebrides were better than we imagined. I definitely recommend the hike around the island of Scalpay which you can do right from the house, including a visit to the lighthouse, a definite highlight. The most magnificent beaches are only a short drive away. I hope we can return! And when we do, we will definitely stay here. "
"Gorgeous cosy cottage with stunning views over the Uig sands. 3 generous double bedrooms, very well stocked kitchen including a double air fryer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, good WiFi. 2 minute walk to access the lagoon of Uig sands, we swam everyday. It’s a remote tiny village which really helps you get away from it all, but lots to do around the place, we did some lovely hikes, seatrek boat tour, visiting Luskentyre beach, and Butt of Lewis lighthouse. Loads of wildlife and saw white tailed eagles everyday Highly recommended and Christina was very responsive and helpful with our stay. "
