“A very comfortable cottage. Excellent enclosed garden if you have a dog and great walks within 200 yards of the cottage to the 'deeps' or beyond to at least two longer distance paths. Stamford is ten minutes away and if yoir visiting family in the area its a great base with good road links.We had our break at half term (February) the cottage is well heated with a log burning fire!....we bought extra logs from Morrisons in Stamford (about £8 a bag).Bob and Sarah provided a great welcome pack……

“The property was nice. It was clean for the most part. It did have dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived.There were nice linens and towelsThe only negative was that the host did not respond to messages. We left 2 text and one call with no response. Luckily there wasn’t an emergency. I shudder to think what would have happened if there was something urgent we needed to reach them for .We did receive messages from the host but they were of the sort , Welcome and For your checkout”

“We stayed 2 nights with our dog during a tour of the Rutland area and further afield. We were really impressed by the hotel - great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely walks locally, well maintained facilities, lots of spaces for chilling out, lovely food and welcoming of our dog in all locations. We had a lovely stay and this hotel is high on our list for a return, perhaps without our dog so we can use the spa facilities! The only slight negatives were that the room looked a little……
