This is a great place to visit in the North of England.

It’s like stepping back in time to visit a town, farm, colliery village and old hall and getting to experience what it was like to live in those places from about 1910 onwards. There are staff who take on the roles of various locals that really bring this place to life.

This picture is from the town where you can explore a bank, shops, pub, dentists and lots of other things as well as ride in traditional vehicles of the time. Such a brilliant experience.

"Perfect getaway with a little sauna for a relax, sea is at the end of the road, tidy and plenty of space. Love the little touches around the place, everything was thought off, we will definitely be back!"

"The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. "

If you don’t want to drive there is lots to do in the immediate surrounding area. A short walk and you are down by the river, where there is a great coffee shop or friendly pub. "Grey St Hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring Newcastle. Right in the heart of the action, but still quiet in the room at night. We arrived by train and the station is only a short walk away. The reception staff were friendly and helpful at all times, as were the housekeeping staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, had lovely high ceilings and sleek decor. The hotel was also incredible value. I’d love to go back and try the spa facilities :-)"
