"Mark is an amazing host. Excellent communication. Breakfast items left specifically for us in the fridge were a most appreciated gift. Kitchen had everything we needed. Those considering the property should know that the two bedrooms and the bathroom are upstairs. Beds were comfortable and both rooms had ample space. Instructions for tv use and streaming services were clear and easy to find. Neighborhood is a bit rundown but we did not feel at all unsafe."

"A fantastic hotel for what you're paying for. It's a clean room, comfortable bed, microwave and fridge, in-room coffee, your parking is next to your room and very friendly staff. For $100 a night, it is the ONLY option in Taylorville. I wish they had more rooms, because they are often sold out on nights I need a place!"

"I have been here before. This is one of the best kept secrets in Decatur, IL. Other than the Lincoln Square Theater which was built around 1915 and host many classic rock concerts. They have a lounge with food and drinks. It is a awesome place to stay. "

"When i booked it , i really thought it was a hotel where you went inside ( i feel a little safer at those kind ) but this did what we needed .A bed to sleep in that was very soft n smelled clean , an a hot shower . I did notice in the bathroom floor a few small dead bugs along the baseboard ,but nothing too crazy .oh yeah n the fire alarm was open without a battery in it ( that didnt make me feel good , but i was tired n stayed anyway .) I was hoping for a small breakfast ,coffee n a poptart but that didnt happen either . "
