"We weeee there for a fishing trip but would have enjoyed staying for a getaway trip. The cottage is decorated perfect and includes everything but food and clothes cozy patio with fire pit. Firewood included. The grounds were beautiful I enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the wildlife. There are also two fishing ponds on the property. Highly recommend!"

"I felt I got what i paid for. I was very old and dated. But I felt the towels and sheets were updated and clean. Floor clean. But probably not ideal for a younger wife. "

"It was an absolute honor to stay in a family farmhouse with a long history and rich tradition. It was a blast from the past. It has a beautiful view across the valley in the back yard and pet a cow while you’re back there. If you’re in town for a a week or weekend on Lake Shelbyville this is a great place to stay. Less than 15 minutes to the lake and even less to town. Plenty of room to park 5 boats. Don’t forget to bring your work clothes because there’s always work to be done on the farm!! Oh, Vicky is an awesome host. (And boss, lol)"

"We had to attend my brother in law’s funeral. My 95 year old father had to travel with us and hotels are a poor option. The house was wonderful and perfectly located to the funeral home and to restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend it."
