superb authentic Balinese living experience!
my 96-year-old father & I spent 8 fabulous weeks living in this delightful villa. Dayu, the owner, is a talented & intelligent modern woman, whom we enjoyed getting to know. Luhtu and Ketuk took care of us as though we were much loved family members. when my papa was sick & had to be hospitalized, Dayu sent Luhtu on her motorbike with homemade soup & banana pancakes to speed his recovery. everyone went far above the call of duty to accommodate his needs, for which I’ll be eternally grateful. we really liked the outdoor lifestyle, with both dining and living rooms on the porch. the kitchen, though tiny, was amazingly functional; its simplicity making me realize how much of my Western household is extraneous (although I will keep my large refrigerator!). the pool was delicious and perfect for my arthritis, as is the climate. we loved living in the midst of a charming garden. we will return at the next opportunity!

Can we give this place 10 stars?
Wow. Just wow. We don't know where to start. My husband and I are on a 6-month extended honeymoon, and decided to cool our heels in Bali for one month. Site unseen, we booked the Lafyu Bali House for the whole month because we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle, and we couldn't have asked for a more amazing experience. Before we even arrived, the hosts, Olaf and Dayu, helped negotiate an amazing rental car deal. And when we finally arrived, the design of the house was impeccable. The owner, Dayu, is a graphic artist and has worked with architects for years, and you can tell. She put so much attention into every detail, from the porch to the bedrooms to the outdoor shower (with hot water) to the gazebo by the pool. Each morning, a new and distinct breakfast was prepared by Dayu and her staff, Kadek. The neighborhood is full of amazing people, so welcoming to guests. The house is close to the Shanti Hotel (great for massages and dinners), the Hidden Valley Club (great for picnics with locals) and the Aling Aling Waterfalls (you can actually slide down the waterfall!), and only a 20 minute drive to Lovina beach. But so much more important, the family who you will live with is so kind, sweet and welcoming. They invited us to a birthday party, taught us about their culture and religion, invited us to pray in their family temple, drove us on motorbike to their favorite farmer's market. This is the most amazing experience we've ever had, and we look forward to coming back year after year. We've made lifelong friends here, and you'd make a mistake if you didn't spend time in this special pocket of the world.

Wir wurden wie vereinbart, vom Flughafen von 2 jungen Männern abgeholt und danach in die Unterkunft gefahren. Vor Ort wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen, uns wurde alles genau erklärt und gleich gefragt welches Frühstück wir am nächsten Morgen zu uns nehmen möchten. Ilju ist eine sehr gute Köchin, die es versteht, einem die balinesische Küche sanft näher zu bringen. Wir haben alle Frühstücksvarianten ausprobiert und waren nie enttäuscht. Zusätzlich kann man Mittagessen oder Abendessen gegen ein geringes Entgelt zu sich nehmen ( ebenfalls sehr lecker). Die Gegend (weit ab vom überfüllten Tourismus im Süden) haben wir mit Absicht so gewählt. Unser Ziel war es, den Stress hinter sich zu lassen und alles auf Null zu fahren. Das ist uns dort gelungen. Dieser Ort, geführt von Daju und Olaf, ist dafür der ideale Platz. Man kann jeden Tag einen traumhaften Sonnenuntergang genießen, die Reisfelder in Ihrer vollen Pracht durchqueren, an unzähligen Wasserfällen baden, die Märkte besuchen, Tempel besichtigen und Land und Leute kennenlernen. Alle Menschen sind sehr offen und herzlich. In dieser Region benötigt man ein Transportmittel. Wir haben uns für einen Roller entschieden und sind damit ziemlich gut vorwärts gekommen. Daju bietet auch einen Fahrer inkl. Auto an. Abschließend können wir sagen: Diese Unterkunft ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert. Sehr guter Service, sehr sauber und eine traumhafte Lage. Très beau logement dans un cadre merveilleux
Nous avons été très bien accueillis dans cette maison composée de 3 logements. Notre logement de 4 personnes était très confortable et très bien décoré (le second lit un peu petit était suffisant pour les enfants). Le logement est isolé et nécessite un moyen de locomotion ou un chauffeur pour se déplacer. Il y a cependant les cascades d aling aling accessible à pied avec des activités de saut et de toboggan proposées. Nous remercions particulièrement Lutu pour sa cuisine, ses massages et sa gentillesse. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Lafyu Bali House !

Wunderbar!
Zur Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von der Vermieterin, Dayu und der Haushälterin, Lotu begrüßt, obwohl wir sehr spät abends erst ankamen. Die Villa liegt, wie in der Beschreibung erwähnt, wunderbar in den Bergen neben Reisfeldern und inmitten von kleinen Dörfern. Man hat einen herrliche Aussicht auf die Berge und das Meer inklusive Sonnenuntergang! Die Villa ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Dayu hat uns bei der Organisation unserer Tagestouren (Rollerverleih, Delphintour, Schnorcheln etc.) sehr geholfen und wir konnten uns mit allen Fragen an sie wenden. Lotu bereitete das Frühstück (wir haben immer das Balinesische genommen, sehr empfehlenswert) und die anderen Mahlzeiten zu. Sie ist ein sehr liebenswerter und freundlicher Mensch und war immer sehr darauf bedacht uns unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Einfach toll! Die ländliche Lage der Villa ist eine willkommene Abwechslung zu den touristischen Gebieten im Süden und bietet mit seiner ruhigen Lage einen guten Ort um zu entspannen und um das traditionelle balinesische Leben kennen zulernen. Bei einem weiteren Baliurlaub würden wir auf jeden Fall nochmals in die Ville Lafyu zurückkehren! Danke für alles! Jonas und Catharina

Très agréable séjour qui répondait tout à fait à notre attente. Maison confortable, propre et piscine , petite, mais bien agréable. Nous avons également bien apprécié les repas " maison" À recommander sans aucun doute aux amoureux de calme, de nature, sans oublier l'accueil de la propriétaire et la gentillesse du personnel.

Unendlicher Sternenhimmel
In Villa Lafyu wurde ich von Dayu sehr freundlich empfangen. Ich fühlte mich vom ersten Moment an in ihrer Gegenwart und dem schönen Haus mit Pool und großem Garten sehr wohl. Alles erschien mir sehr ausgewogen. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen frischen Fruchtsaft. Wir setzten uns auf die Terrasse mit einem unendlich weiten Blick über die Reisfelder bis zum Horizont, der im Meer endet. Dayu beherrscht ein sehr gutes Englisch und ein wenig Deutsch. Sie ist sehr offen und erzählt gerne über Bali, die Kultur und über ihren medizinischen Kräutergarten. Einen ca. einstündigen Rundgang mit vielen Anweisungen, wie man Krankheiten vermeiden oder heilen kann, folgte später am Nachmittag. Am nächsten Vormittag wollten wir gemeinsam zum Markt fahren und für das tägliche Essen einkaufen. Das Frühstück am Morgen war eine Augenweide und obendrein sehr lecker. Ich liebe asiatisches Frühstück. Toast kann ich auch in Deutschland essen. Ich hatte noch einmal die Gelegenheit mich mit Dayu zu unterhalten. Über den Bungalow, die gute Belüftung und seine Einrichtung sowie die Dekoration. Alles ist durchdacht und sehr geschmackvoll angeordnet. Sie erzählte mir, dass sie Grafik-Designerin sei und sich mit der Ästhetik und Optik beschäftigen würde unter Beachtung der Umweltfreundlichkeit. Unter einer hohen gut belüfteten Dachkonstruktion steht ein riesengroßes Bett. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind sauber und duften frisch. Ein Moskitonetz ist locker drapiert. Mücken gab es nachts nicht im Haus. Das Bad ist individuell gestaltet mit einer Dusche, die einen kräftigen Strahl erzeugt. Genial ist der Lichtschalter vom Schlafraum für den nächtlichen Gang zur Toilette. Es wird nur der unmittelbare Bereich um die Toilette beleuchtet. Danach kann man sofort im Bett weiterschlafen. Mein Aufenthalt war sehr erholsam. Ich möchte noch einmal, dann aber für längere Zeit, mich an diesem Ort ausruhen und erholen. Meine schönste Erinnerung ist der unendliche Sternenhimmel. Hier gibt es keine nächtliche Lichtverschmutzung. Vielen Dank Dayu!

Mes vacances dans la villa de Olaf Renn
Aux environs de Singaraja, une petite perle de villa simple et confortable. Tout autour une rizière nous baigne de calme. Le quartier est peuplé de gens attachants. Dayu ( madame Renn) a été prévenante, professionnelle et très bonne cuisinière. Nous avons vécu dans un havre de paix pendant 21 jours de bonheur. Un conseil: jetez tous vos médicaments et laissez vous aller. J'aurai toujours une pensée pour la maman de Dayu qui pleurait lors de notre départ. Denis de Nouméa nouvelle Caledonie.
